I think your cactus has an STD

I had a bunch on one hand a few years ago. Tried and tried with the store bought salicylic acid crap, but they always came back. My doctor told me to try duck tape. I put duck tape on my hand every night for two or three weeks and they just shrank up and disappeared. Never came back. Not nearly as gruesome as some of your stories, but if you want something painless that works...

Check out Graham Hancock on Joe Rogan's podcast. Number 360, 417, and 551 feature Hancock and number 725 is Hancock with Randal Carlson. All 4 are absolute must listen material. I'd recommend listening to 725 first. You can find it on YouTube.

I have a friend who owns a ranch with some cattle in Texas. In the dry season they have a flame thrower that they use to burn the thorns off of the prickly pear (opuntia) so that the cows can have a nice snack. They love it. I doubt that was the case here though. Although cattle feasting on a large stand of trichs could get interesting.

Love the TBM reverts! They very much remind me of a bridgesi I have that was grown from herbalistics seed. -
I tried chewing some fresh rhizome once. Probably about 10g and swallowed it after chewing it all up. The taste was extremely overwhelming and upset my stomach for hours afterwards. I noticed no stimulant or any other psychoactive effects. I believe this was the American variety. Definitely not worth it IMHO.

Sceletium is a monoamine releasing agent, rather than only a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.

I am in the US, so not much help for most of you but I have been in contact with a nursery owner in far South Texas where there are wild populations of damiana. He has agreed to collect some and propagate it for distribution to some friends here in the states. Currently, he has only one plant, but is in the process of rooting cuttings. Hopefully we will finally be able to grow this plant here soon.

Hopefully the admins have a backup of the database. My guess is that the database got corrupted. It may just need to be restored from backup. It would be a real travesty if the nook was gone for good.

I have sso2 x sera canyon that looks very similar although mine isn't fully mature yet. I believe sera canyon is a bridgesi. -
Take cuttings from branches that have vigorous new growth. They root well in sphagnun and rockwool. I'm guessing perlite/vermiculite would also work well, but haven't tried. As mentioned, warmth (and humidity) are critical for rooting. For that reason, it is usually much easier to root in warmer months. Don't expose cuttings to wide temperature or humidity swings.

How bout some fungi? Sounds like your climate would be well suited. A few species of edibles would be a great addition to the dinner table and likely bring a few bucks at market. -
Sorry I don't have a culture, but I want to say thanks! I didn't know you could grow Spirulina. I may have found a new hobby!

Interesting reports! This kind of nonsense could also explain why some people have varied results: Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Vol 29, No 8, (2010) - Analytical Methods for Psychoactive N,N-Dialkylated Tryptamines - A paper about the detection and analysis of online available drugs via HPLC, NMR, GCMS, etc. A couple of quick selections from it follow: A number of products, sold as dried A. muscaria extracts (fly agaric), were found to contain 5-MeO-DIPT 34, 5-MeO-DMT 25, tropane and b-carboline derivatives, instead of the expected constit-uents (i.e. ibotenic acid and muscimol) (without quan-titation). Extractions were carried out by a modified Stas-Ottos isolation method [25]. A GC-MS method was applied to the separation of nine tryptamine derivatives and full-scan MS. Limit of detection (LOD) values were 0.5–15 lg/mL, where two primary amines (i.e. AMT and 5-MeO-AMT 39) appeared to provide reduced signal responses compared to their tertiary counterparts.

Herbal Medicine - Low White blood cells and reoccuring Candida (Yeast Infections COUSCOUS)

Look into kefir and kombucha. These are inexpensive but very effective forms of probiotics that you can make yourself at home. They have been shown to be effective for candida. Stay away from antibiotics if possible. They will ultimately make things worse by killing off the good bacteria in your system. -
Could any body identify these fellas'?

I was also going to say some form of Coryphantha for #2, but not sure of species. -
I do love those Gymnos! Sadly, I have had much trouble starting them from seed. I think the first one is gibbosum? Mine flowered for the first time this summer after four years from seed. No seeds though:(
