Hey all. Does anyone know if the poppy seeds made by "hoyts" are worth buying if a FOAF was to make a tea? They are in a red plastic pack and are the dark coloured seeds. Quite cheap...

OK my foaf reckons he will blend the dried leaves into some juice and drink the whole lot, then theres zero chance of messed up extraction.....how many leaves should he have?

A foaf of mine has tried kratom tea while overseas and got no effect. He tried it twice and nothing happened. He boiled it gently for a few hours until around 70ml remained, and the other time around 150ml, from a litre or so of leaves and water. Both times on an empty belly...he takes lexapro SSRI....so he tells me. The leaves were from a guy that had dried them....this fella has a good reputation and is well known....foaf has a high tollerance to codeine.....any ideas?? Cheers!

I went for a drive the other day, found some nice lush paddocks with cows in them. Just wondering if you guys just go for a quick wander or ask the owners? The house was right near the paddocks and I certainly don't want any trouble....

I might try the microwave tech. Which grain would be best considering I was going to use popcorn corn? Then just follow regular procedure; Ie- sterilise jars with substrate in the microwave, add spores, wait for mycellium to grow then add casing. Can I use just plain horse crap or cow crap for the casing or should I add sumthing else? Once I try this micowave method, I will write it up as to how I did it etc, which spores were used, substrate, casing material etc, and contamination rates. I guess if I'm doing it on the cheap it wont matter even if I have a >50% failure. Just want to get a few going.... All help and tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to start growing mushrooms at home, but I'm strapped for cash. How much would I have to pay roughly for pressure cooker, jars, substrate, and agar? And anything else for growing legal mushrooms? Should I try outdoor cultivation or would it be just a waste of spore prints? Does anyone have a pressure cooker to sell? Or the other gear?
