    Psilocybic Potency Scale

not to disagree with you gerbil, i think you're correct and that this question is one that is easily and frequently asked but very difficult to answer... BUT in my gnome's experience (and a gnome buddy of his) after cultivating several strains in the same manner, KSSS has consistently shown to be noticeably more potent than the others. my gnome grew it on WBS which it colonises quickly (fastest coloniser he has seen), as for grain it would produce similar results right? if you're interested AJ pm me, my gnome may have a spare print

    Cannabis harvesting

can you manage this often? my gnome regularly enjoys shrooms and sleeping within the next 8 hrs (let alone immediately after consumption!) just doesn't happen. This pisses him off because he is keen to explore the effects of trippin while sleeping, lucid dreaming and whatnot. He's envious of u!!

    Telling apart top from bottom

hi, i'm just trying to plant my first cuttings (cheers passivedaemon) but i'm having trouble working out which end is the bottom (if you plant them upside down to what they originally grew they will not grow right?). i've read that people often cut the bottom at an angle and the top flat, but i cant see much of a diff between the two. any tricks you know of to help me work this out? edit: the species is trich bridgisii (psycho0) thanks soma

    Cannabis harvesting

lol anyone stupid enough to believe this bullshit deserves to be busted by a REAL cop. A kg of DMT?!? you're not fooling this little black duck Also, you have to see the irony in a (so called) police officer trying to befriend members of a somewhat esoteric drug culture by inviting them out to share in a night of socially accepted drug use - which is itself generally more excessive, dangerous and destructive (but government taxed) than anything most of us choose to do IN THE PRIVACY OF OUR OWN HOME. peace innocent criminals

    chasing obtusifolia seeds

thanks auxin and ace. i've just checked out the free seed ring, i plan to get some from there. it seems they don't accept the spore prints i have to offer so i guess i'll hold onto them. cheers soma

    Species identification (with photos)

thanks phloom, did you think only the first tree i have photos of was a maidenii or both? yeh i found the wattle ID cd at my local library and have it on hold at the moment, looking forward to checking it out. cheers people soma
  17. Hi, I've recently started studying the identification of Acacia maidenii which led me to a local Greening Australia garden. The people there were very helpful and gave me directions to the following tree claiming it was a maidenii. [first 3 pics] I'm in doubt of wether i found the correct specimen since the above tree showed no signs of flowering or seed pods. I thought this was strange for this time of year. My gnome did however collect around 30g of sap from the surface of the tree (that can be seen in the pics), and says he plans on performing an A/B extraction on the material to see what he can see. Do you think he is likely to obtain anything by doing this? I also took photos of another tree i found nearby that was in flower that i thought looked more like a maidenii. Perhaps the leaves are a bit wide and curved for this to be a possibility though. [next 4 pics] If anyone could give me their opinions on these trees i would greatly appreciated it soma

    Acacia maidenii

G'day everyone, have been quietly observing the forums for a while but this is my first post Ok, say my gnome had acquired some material from an Acacia maidenii plant and wanted to perform an acid/base extraction, how would he best process this material in preparation for the extraction? In particular how would he deal with thin branches that were collected after they had fallen from the tree, rather than strips of bark and fibrous material from the trunk. Should he chop these thin branches and twigs into small portions and then proceed to the freezing/thawing method of pulverization or should he strip a layer of the bark and then throw away the centre material. If so, how thick/deep should he strip the bark? Are thin twigs (2-5mm thick) of any use or should they be discarded? If not, just chop into small pieces? thanks in advance for any advice you can offer and apologies if this is answered elsewhere, (i've used the search facility for a while now but have not found the answers i think i need) soma

Wanted: Active cacti cutting in SE Qld

    cheers shroomytoons
  20. Hi people, I'm new to the forums so i hope i'm going about this the right way. I'm looking to start growing an active cacti species, i was hoping for Trich. bridgesii (but beggars cant be choosers ). Would anyone have for sale (or could suggest where i could obtain) say a 20-30cm cutting? I found such an item at HHH in nimbin, but they were asking $100 - which i thought was very excessive. any feedback would be much appreciated cheers soma

Wanted: Active cacti cutting in SE Qld

Hi again, hope i havent stepped on any toes by quoting that price. from memory thats what it was, but i could easily be mistaken. i did have a look in the shaman australis shop page, but i was hoping to obtain a plant larger than what was available for sale there. Anyone know of other specific websites/local stores/individuals i should consult? thanks again soma

    Cubensis Strains in Aus

Hi, i'm brand new here but have been involved in mycology for about 8 months now - brilliant hobby I have; - Mexi pal - Mexi cub - KSSS i don't think anyone has mentioned KSSS thus far, very fast coloniser, short fat (and potent in my opinion ) fruits. I'm looking to extend my collection if anyone would like to trade, please PM me. cheers soma

    Acacia maidenii

thanks sphinx! some very helpful info there. i've actually already consulted the document you linked to, i'm unfamiliar with theNook however. i have read about the unreliability of maidenii, but since i live in south east QLD i don't think there are any other species around that would warrant my interest. If anyone disagrees PLEASE speak up... cheers soma
