I can't find anything using the search feature. Nothing but these posts come up in results. Can only seem to find one variation of the same post on genaral Trich alkaloids on google. Nothing on google images either. I'm searching "werdermannius", is there any other spelling? -

Does anyone know of an online version for this clip. I've been searching for a while, no go on YouTube. Also, ive read the transcript, but i thought when i watched this years ago Trichocereus werdermannius was mentioned - was there a specific type of mescaline in this cactus? -
Is it safe to use Osmocote with cacti?

Thanks. Downloading now. You might want to edit the link. I had to delete the http// part in the new window that was doubled to make the link work, might be just my browser though.

From my experience in the Blue Mountains, i noticed when the Aminita's started drying up like in your photos, it is usually too dry for decent sub fruiting. I'm surprised you didn't find any actives though, it has been a good year for rain in the mountains.

EDIT: POTASH will increase the Ph of the soil. Australian soils are predominately acidic, i wouldn't add anything to cactii unless the soil was very acidic or alkaline. Lime will decrease the PH. Add the lime to your legumes

Note on using food dehydrators: Just be careful to check whether and how much they heat up. My dehydrator heater seems a bit too hot for certain mushrooms, so i would pull it apart and disconnect the wiring to the heater. It was easy to do with mine, and i just hooked the heater back up when i need it.

Wow! Didn't realise subs were to be found in Sydney! Thought you'd have to go up the mountains. Nice One!

After a rough season of neglect, my cacti have been moved to a more suitable position and are now getting the TLC they deserve. All seem to be in good condition except my Astrophtums. The myriostigma has gone reddish and lost most of its spots, although the side that has been in the sun the last week is starting to come back green. The capricornes seem to have some sort of rot? Anyone know of these symptoms? Heres some pics.... Astrophytum myriostigma - reddness Astrophytum ornatum - rot? Thanks
-
Thanks All! The A. myriostigma has been moved to a non-direct sunlight position where it will still be warm. The A. ornatum have been given a soak of weak 'Seasol' and i will keep them dry after that for a while. Cheers for the priceless info.

How long does Datura seed stay viable? I've got lots of seed of D.metel (triple purple) and D.wrightii from 2006. It has been stored in the cool/dry/dark. Would they still be viable in the spring? Or could they germinate now?

Hi All, Is anyone growing snow peas or sugar snap peas? I'm interested to hear how they grow in aussie climates. As they are quite expensive to buy at the fruit shop, they'd have to be good to grow

Does anyone know when HBWR usually flowers? My vine is taking over the fence and growing enourmous amounts every day, but no sign of flowering yet. Will it even flower in my location (Newcastle, coastal NSW)? The vine is over two years old and didnt grow much until i put it in the ground last spring. Will post pics soon. Thanks all!

Ive got both forms on one plant. The longer form i think i obtained from the cactii not getting enough sun, as when i moved them into full sun , the form became more stubby. I believe the different forms to be due to amount and intensity of sunlight.
