  1. Researchers say babies born with low vitamin D levels may have an increased risk of developing schizophrenia later in life. The three-year study tested blood samples from babies in Denmark and found having low vitamin D levels doubles the risk of developing the disorder. The findings could encourage pregnant women to get more sunshine or take a vitamin D supplement. Professor John McGrath, from the Queensland Brain Institute, says the study is further evidence of vitamin D's link to brain development. "Many years ago we thought it was totally implausible to prevent schizophrenia, it seemed to be such a mysterious, poorly understood group of illnesses," he said. "I think this new result suggests that maybe it will be possible to prevent . Link
  2. Hi folks, There is a solar eclipse festival being hosted in the Elqui valley in Chile from the 30th of June to the 5th of July 2019. The eclipse is on the 2nd of July, mid way through the festival. The Elqui valley is on the edge of the Atacama desert, the driest place on earth which equals clear skies. It is home to a number of space observatories so eclipse chasing will be at fever pitch! Im heading over. Hope see some of you guys and girls there! https://andeseclipses.org/

  8. On Sept 1 2017, Bitcoin roared to a new all-time high, touching the $5000 mark for the first time in history. And then the bottom fell out. While Twitterverse crypto enthusiasts called the sudden drop a natural correction, it quickly became clear there was nothing natural about it. Over the course of two weeks, Bitcoin and every other crypto faced a sustained assault of relentless negative press designed to crash the price, spread fear and destroy the trust in decentralized money. And it wasn’t random at all. It was a coordinated attack on crypto. To understand why you just have to know a little about the history of power in the world. 10. Summary: A new study in Neuroscience of Consciousness adds weight to previous findings about the potential benefits psychedelics could have for treating mental health disorders. Source: University of Adelaide. The altered state of consciousness and temporary lack of ego that results from using psychedelic drugs could help some mental health patients recover from their symptoms, according to academics at the University of Adelaide. Researchers in the University’s Department of Philosophy have been studying the body of evidence around the use of psychedelic drugs such as LSD and magic mushrooms, and the impact they have on people’s sense of “self”. In a new article published online today in Aeon, authors Professor Philip Gerrans and recent PhD graduate Dr Chris Letheby say there is growing evidence to suggest that psychedelic experiences can be truly “transformative” — including helping some people with anxiety, depression, or addiction. “We know quite a lot about the neurochemistry of psychedelic drugs and how they work on the brain. What’s poorly understood is the more complex relationship between the brain, our sense of self, and how we perceive the world,” says Professor Gerrans, who has been researching self-representation in psychiatric disorders. In a recent paper published in the journal Neuroscience of Consciousness, Professor Gerrans and Dr Letheby explain how users of psychedelic drugs often report that their sense of being a self or ‘I’ — distinct from the rest of the world – has diminished or completely “dissolved”. “This ‘ego dissolution’ results in a moment of expanded awareness, a feeling in which the mind is put more directly and intensely in touch with the world,” Professor Gerrans says. “Through this experience it may be possible to re-engineer the mechanisms of self, which in turn could change people’s outlook or world view. The profound sense of connection produced by this experience has the potential to be beneficial for people suffering from anxiety, depression, and some forms of addiction,” he says. Dr Letheby says one of the reasons why psychiatric disorders are so hard to shake is that it’s almost impossible for sufferers to view things differently. “People who go through psychedelic experiences no longer take it for granted that the way they’ve been viewing things is the only way,” Dr Letheby says. 11. They’re avoiding many of the substances that got earlier generations high. But are they better off? Yesterday’s line: “Don’t do drugs, kids.” Today’s line: “Kids don’t do drugs.” A variety of publications have patted Millennials on the back with praising headlines, from The Economist’s “Millennials are less keen than previous generations on illicit drugs” to The Guardian’s “Sober is the new drunk: why millennials are ditching bar crawls for juice crawls,” and Now Magazine’s “These millennials are ditching booze to go sober — here’s why.” The narrative: Millennials (typically defined as those born between 1983 and 2002) are less keen to get hammered, high, or horizontal compared to previous generations. Disillusioned with the hippies in the ’70s who went crazy (or at the very least got lazy and boring) from psychedelics, punks in the ’80s who overdosed on heroin, and ravers in the ’90s prematurely withered from speed and MDMA, these days, teens and 20-somethings have opted to take things down a notch. It’s a nice idea: Today’s youth will not repeat the mistakes of their progenitors. Nobody likes seeing their friends die young from liver disease or lung cancer or lost to the hinterlands of the mind. I myself have lost a few. But is it true? Are teens and 20-somethings really taking it easy or going sober? And if they truly are taking it easy on the chemicals, could it be for reasons that are actually unhealthy? Trade/ purchase gone wrong?

If we are to have the new Teotz/Nezahua, would it be an idea to open the old Teotz account for them to verify their identity???...... then shut it down so they can continue with the new account? I definetly wouldn't be happy with a Teotz impersonator. Only the real true blue will do!
