Panic is usually made up of two main driving factors. The physiological response, ie shortness of breath, adrenaline rush, dizzyness, nausea, weakness etc and the mental response "oh shit im gonna die" "ill make a fool of myself" "ill lose control". Of course the physical feeds the mental and vice versa. To reduce the physical, hold your breath for as long as is comfortable, then continue to take slow, shallow breaths (not deep!). For the mental its good to know, no one has died from this before, and that like torsten said, this too shall pass. I think ive had one panic attack, im no sure tho. It literally came out of no where. I had been drinking heavily with friends and smoking the biggest j's i had ever seen, then i realised that i had to go to work in the morning and that i had to drive for three hours to make it back to brizzy so i reluctantly went to bed. After a while i began shivering uncontrollably and this influenced my breath, which then made me think i was going to stop breathing. So i went down stairs again where it was warm felt better then went back upstairs, and eventually went to sleep. It seems unusual to have had a panic attack whilst drunk, but j's have been known to make me a little uneasy at times.

Cisumevil. HATS OFFF wow, what a cool cat you are ROFLMAO I think a good thing to remember when dealing with police is that they are human beings who wear a blue shirt that instils fear. If you can look past the blue shirt then that changes the way you act around them, and hence the way they act around you. Things that help me are to imagine what theyre gonna do at the end of a shift. Maybe pick up the kids from school, have a beer with their mates at a pub. I find it also helps me, if i imagine what a good upstanding citizen i am, and how they will see that shining through no matter what i look like. This is easier if you have first seen past the blue uniform phenomenon. Police and citizens, play games. The whole "yes officer can i help" with "license and registration" as a reply, is allowing police to get into their comfort zone of how theyve learnt to interact with people whilst theyre on the job. All it takes is one person to politely refuse to play the game, and already these people are either on the back foot, or reacting to the situation anew rather than drawing on their experience and thus their power play.

For starters, im new and optimistic and idealistic. Secondly, if you say you can only do a certain kind of drug at a doof then you are being one of those scenesters and close minded people who have a rigid view of what an ideal doof is. People who take too much of anything lose consideration for others, then they may cause people to become uncomfortable, but hey doofings about fun amongst other things isnt it? In my experience, when i think that i know how something SHOULD be, then that leads me to a) become disappointed that it is not like that clash with people who have a different view. When countries know that they are right, and other people are wrong, wars happen. When one group is right and the other group is sure theyre right too, fighting occurs. The future belongs to those who will take hold of it. For me, doofing is constantly changing, the best things about it that i like, are that its out doors, that i meet people randomly, (tho not all the time) and i always learn something, even if it is confronting .*sometimes the experiences are scary and unpleasant* but i think that is a positive thing, coz it shows me im being too rigid.

Drinks afterwards sounds delightful, might have to take monday off also, 16th isnt ideal for me, although i will make it with bells on, would the week after (23rd) perhaps suit people better/ just as well. it would be nice to have as many people as possible attending this meet... It may just be more complicated i dunno, justa suggestion.

because people tend to be late(referring specifically to me at the cssq), and what not, i suggest that closer to the date, we either offer two mobile numbers to ring or set out a path of where we will walk throughout the day...

I interpret content to mean a sort of brave world hedonistic state. But if youre trying to achieve a buddhist state of contentment, it doesnt seem to fit with reduced creativity, philosophy. Meditating gives you a calm mind, but opens you to insight and truth. It sounds as tho you are more content with being "uncontent" ie when you are energetic, creative , philosophical and probably all round a better person, but unhappy. Perhaps you are creating this unhappiness in your life as a validation for you innate creativity and energy? By happiness do you mean, contentment + creativity and energy? Theres short term happiness and long term happiness. As a buddhist you strive to take the middle path, a balance between short and long term happiness.

Maybe it would be better to all meet up on saturday, the pickings will be better and everyone seems to be able to make it then anyways. Plus we save the travel... Alice; we usually meet just out the front of the cafe nearer the carpark. Either on the stairs or near the entrance to the gardens.

if space is infinite then time is infinite the two are inextricably linked ie spacetime. If you get absolute zero, then time stops coz space stops. Since time is relative, eternity can happen in limited space. Therefore i agree with ramon. For me eternity represents infinite, just as everything is contained within space, so to everthing is contained within time. Thus eternity is the same as space, just a different perspective. Ie you can have everything at once with time, but you can have everything all over the place with space. Thus meditating on eternity is the same as meditating on the universe, just another circle to draw around it. edit- In addition to this, and in answer to the intial question of if we can conceive it, i think that is getting mighty close to reaching the path of enlightenment As i have expressed before, i believe that when you meditate your neurons connect and fire and go about their business according to the laws of physics, after a while of meditation where not much else is happening in the brain, the neurons start to carve out pathways dictated by the laws of physics. The ahhah moment of understanding happens the physical wiring of your brain becomes translated into conscious experience imho

Hehe, yeah i sorta guessed the back one was a cereus, mind you cactus isnt my speciality...theyre common as muck out that way. Heres a slightly better picture of the one in front although i didnt take a better one from memory coz i think it had quite a lot of fine spikes on it, any cactus look like it with fine spikes from memory? does anyone disagree that the female mind is a very erotic one? It depends When your young, only things that directly stimulate you senses are good. Ie candy, bright colours, new things. As I age, i find myself appreciating more complex things, wines, spicy food, music and drama to name but a few. I could go two ways with this. That is to say, beauty is a collection of traits hung on a meat suit, and eroticism is something that comes with maturity and practice. To develop fantasies, one must think and have a broad range of experience to compare and fuse and simmer before flourishing into a saucy saucy curry, or well matured wine. I have a feeling WS that the women you are referring to are probably into fashion makeup and big brother. You, WS, without being to presumptuous are prolly not into any of that, and i would guess that is reflected in the way you dress and groom yourself. These girls are very nice, they are human after all, they have emotions and feelings, just different ways of expressing it. Fortunately for them, the guys who find good looks more important than say you or i would, tend to devote themselves to making money to attract such girls. Unfortunately for you, they see you as a loser, much like you see them as losers. So of course theyre not going to give you the time of day, just like you have judged all the girls in sydney and would treat them according to the perceptions of others who look like it. Additionally you can hardly call them bitchy, because the tone of this thread could be defined by some as bitchy. Russian women would prolly be very in because you were foreign, comparitively rich, and obviously interested in them. The strongest predictor of what makes people like you and vice versa is how much you like them. A little more objectively, or evolutionary viewpoint would be that, the rich guys get the good looking women. Like rev was saying, non rich guys go for non materialistic women. I think you would be surprised at how easy it is to become materialistic when you increase your good looks. Just look at "corey" or "queer eye for the straight guy" those suckers look all alternative and cool, until they look mainstream, and admittedly better. Then they choose to stay with it, ratehr than staying loyal to their look. Each to their own I say.
