cool, well only 5 out of 8 jars survived the pressure cook O.O wasn't expecting that, maybe one or two. (but i am a newbie) they were saturated. Im using tin foil lids, half of them i used tape to secure the lid down. Which didn't seem to help, the jars on the bottom are the ones which stuffed... Any ideas how to stop this next time? (I did all 8 at the same time, its a big PC ) I followed teks. religiously J

I recently acquired a very old pressure cooker (almost 50years old) the main seal is great, no cracking or hardening. I have brought it up to pressure, but the thing is the seal around the valve has gone and leaks a fair amount, whistle and steams. But it still comes up to normal pressure (second band on the lifter thing). Dose that mean it's still fine to use? Or should i replace it?

Managed to take off the valve, was a simple screw thread and the rubber can be replaced by some generic o-ring or some rubber gasket cut to fit. There is no marking any were for the manufacture, all i know is that its old and comes from Germany and very heavy , my grandma gave it to me

The ribs are very much sucked in. Ok so what i should do is cut off the larger new growths and the smalls pups? Should i cut all 3 of the large ones off and leave the tiny little yellow one on the top? Also when cutting them off, do i take it flush with the base stalk or a flat cut like normal cuttings? ps the little ones were washed out by flash so i didnt upload the pic

Ok my cutting still has no roots, which dosnt surprise me, but what dose is that one of the shoots has doubled in length, and now the tip is turning yellow well more of white, and one of the small pups that formed on the top died, and the second one is gone yellow. whats going on?? is in shade

Well its been about a month and its been sitting for 2 weeks drying and 2 weeks in dry perlite. Went to check up today and noticed a huge growth in one of the shoots and a tiny little guy poping up (Front Right) But wont all this growing take away from growing roots? Going to water, well mist the base tomorrow which will be the 1st time since I got it.. PS I read a wile back that having to many branches slows down growth? When the little ones grows some more should i cut it off and plant?

After getting a small viridis plant (thanks you ) ive been trying to get it back to health, after leaving it in the small pot for a couple days, i transplanted it into some rich potting mich with some added perlite for drainage, ive kept it on hot water system (been pritty cool here past week) to keep it warm and ive got a coke bottle over it to keep the humidity up. But its still declining, it's lots its leaves (had two small ones) and the top of the stalk has started to shrival were it was brocken (through mail ) ive read through eveything i can find but now i dont know what else to do to help the poor guy? J ps sorry if the spellings bad word has decided not to work

Why would it decrease financial burden? It could only assume it would carry a higher price if legaly obtained due to tax.

how do you tell its white mold? I can wipe it off with my finger very gently? Its also much more noticble in the photo, didnt even notice disscolouration until you pointed it out.

Its been a week and the ends are dryiny and the red is not comming back. But ive noticed in increse in the brusing area around the bigger wound and little black dots appearing around. The black dots are not mushy, but there are more devolpoing, start as a light brown.

probly being padentic, but there a darker green area around one of the ribs thats a little softer then the others.

yeah it wasnt deep at all, basicly surface, but its all gone now

None of the knives could cut the woody middle, so I ended up using a fine hacksaw blade. Also im pritty sure ive sorted which way is up
