Catha edulis is a pretty common herb.. how the frig do you police something like that. Had a ring around a couple of herb farms, i asked for a few legal herbs before asking for khat. Didn't mention the scheduling. Everyone has it and is obviously unaware of the laws. Why the fuck should they have to be, really, they grow plants. You can't ban nature ffs! only one guy said, "oh btw you know it's now scheduled, hence we've had to put the price up" Thats what the war on drugs does.. makes everyone an outlaw, and poor.

Nothing would change except the children would go from being offered illegal drugs to being offered legal drugs.. I couldn't turn on the tv (when i had one) without being offered alcohol every ad break. I don't see a difference, apart from the obvious, ones legal ones not. And that subset of meth and smack fiends exist all over the world, not just in nimbin. This will always be the case whether drugs are legal or not.

Like national parks and nurseries

I can legally sit on my arse in front idiot box a watching grown men who are supposable "good role models" physically hurt each other in the name of sport and entertainment (Rugby, Boxing etc). I can legally smoke and drink myself stupid while I'm at it. But when i want to execute what i consider a pretty basic human right ie, grow a plant. I can't because of fears of fines that would cripple me and possible jail time. Seriously, WTF?

To me, a country that outlaws the very plant emblemed on its money is backwards. Which will they change, the law or the coin? Or neither because your average joe won't even realize.

Can't seem to see Datura or Brugs on that list.. Funny how they would mention them in the "Talking to your kids about drugs" (as common names for mushrooms mind you), but not include them in the act...

XipeTotec: Against... If someone wants to ingest fluoride they should seek it out for themselves. Even if it was proven beyond all reasonable doubt to strengthen teeth, who the frig gives them the right to spike our water. Why the need for us to swallow it? Access to free unadulterated water seems like a pretty basic right to me. The chlorine is bad enough. Has there been any studies into whether or not cacti absorb fluoride.. i mean, when the laws are finally changed and we're allowed to eat them, who wants to eat a pachanoi thats been watered with fluorinated water it's whole life? How do you regulate your fluoride dosage in that case?
