    First Bruce flowering!!

Hey black dragon. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of Mum n Dd flowering? I got some cuts a couple years ago from you,but it will still be a few years before they flower. the Bruce flower is very pretty. I have one of them in the ground too. It's a very vigorous plant.

    USA vs Australian Customs

one thing about sending things from the US to overseas is, You have to declare the contents on the customs declaration and sign that you swear it to be true under penalty of law. so theoreticaly,if word ever got back to US Customs that a mis declared package was seized, they could come after the sender. And that could be bad next time they crossed a border with some "red flag" on their computer that could stay there for years One way to smuggle cuttings in would be "up the bum" But be be sure to cut the spines very ,very short first!

    osprey's spring cactus sale USA

here's a few shots of the sale corner
  9. Hi folks, This is the 4th year in a row I've had this sale over at the nook, and it's been a success for all concerned. if you check my trading over there, you will find many, many happy customers. The sale goes from April 1st to May 7th. The list will go out April 1st,and everyone who requests the first list will get a second, updated list on the 15th with new plants added. Sadly,I can't ship to Australia, but I wanted to offer it to my friends over here at SAB also. If you would like the list,pm me with a request. please keep questions to pm messages,so as not to clutter up this post too much. There will be alot of nice plants in limited supply,so if you see something you like, grab it quick. My plants are all fat and sassy. please note* these plants are being sold strictly for landscaping, and ornamental reasons. If you ask any questions about possible illegal use,I will not sell to you. Thanks for your understanding. I will get some photos up here shortly.

    trichocereus cuzcoensis

I can say from experience that the #427 michael pictured (grown from JHHudson seed)is totally inactive. tried another very similar one (called T.peru tarma.looks like 427,but more "muscular"that was weak, but had a beautiful clean scrumptious magical quality. What a lovely day that was!

    germinating reluctant knize trico seed

Yeah, the bridgesii had good germ rates. The 339 and everything else was pretty much worthless. I haven't tried the new ones yet,but sent some to a friend who hasn't had much luck at all with them. other people have had great luck with the 339 pachanoi. Oh well,it's only money maybe i will try the gibberilc acid.
  13. I have a bunch of knize seed that has very poor,to no germination, and i would like to coax some sprouts out of it. i think i remember Torsten writing about having success by cold shocking, blanching,or some method. I've got 9000 seeds and nothing to lose,so does anyone have any tips, success,or ideas I can try? or a link to that post? i struck out on a bunch i got 2 years ago,so last year i got more to try again.
  14. Amazing! Many thanks for posting this.
