    Campervan conversion ideas?

I was thinking of buying a campervan, or just a van and doing the conversion myself. Figured we’d get a bit of use out of it and then rent it out to help cover costs through camplify, camptoo or similar. Any ideas on what I should look for - best models etc., or where to get info on conversions? Has anyone had any experience renting out their van through any of these companies? I’ve got my eye out for something not too old, and with not too many kms on it, but thanks as far as I’ve gotten in terms of narrowing it down.

Yeah @Northerner I saw that too . Well, I remembered to put a short recommendation in to the TGA in favour of getting CBD scheduled as a pharmacy-only medicine. I know it’s not a huge thing, but it would help with public attitudes I think, as well as being really helpful for the conditions CND can help alleviate.

INQUIRY INTO THE USE OF CANNABIS IN VICTORIA Terms of Reference On 30 May 2019, the Legislative Council agreed to the following motion: That this house, requires the Legal and Social Issues Committee to inquire into, consider and report, by no later than 2 March 2020, into the best means to — prevent young people and children from accessing and using cannabis in Victoria; protect public health and public safety in relation to the use of cannabis in Victoria; implement health education campaigns and programs to ensure children and young people are aware of the dangers of drug use, in particular, cannabis use; prevent criminal activity relating to the illegal cannabis trade in Victoria; assess the health, mental health, and social impacts of cannabis use on people who use cannabis, their families and carers; and further requires the Committee to assess models from international jurisdictions that have been successful in achieving these outcomes and consider how they may be adapted for Victoria. https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/lsic-lc/article/4259

Definitely both disappointments in their own ways. Maybe we’ll have more impact going straight to the TGA. That they’d even consider it is a big deal.

https://www.tga.gov.au/consultation-invitation/consultation-proposed-amendments-poisons-standard-joint-acmsaccs-meetings-june-2020 ping @Responsible Choice! Submissions are open with the TGA for potentially downgrading the schedule for prescription cannabidiol (CBD) from a doctor at Schedule 4 to Pharmacy-only with no prescription needed (after a conversation with the pharmacist). I hope ppl will consider making a submission for this - not the main game, but progress nonetheless.

    Sub prints wanted, eventually

Just thought I’d get in early to say that I might be after some sub prints for microscopy once they are available as the weather cools. Ideally, I could acquire them myself, but can’t count on that with the way things are going where I am - hence the contingency. Can pay cash (assuming I’m not broke in the future, lol) or trade seeds (will have to double-check: I’m sure I have some MG and at least one trich cross I did a few years back, plus random other cacti and acacias). Edit: I'm sorted now, thanks (you know who you are)! Still other people on the lookout for prints though, so maybe throw a little love their way.

    AU wide virtual meet

Might have to drop in, if that’s OK. Been thinking about using Jitsi, so that will be educational too.

    Happy COVID Party 2020

Should we set up a room in Jitsi or something, just to talk shit? Not very discreet, especially if you want to maintain separation between your secret SAB identity and your Clarke Kent normie life. But I’d probably go for it anyway.

    Meet up: Melbourne

The Melbourne calendar has lots of opportunities for meet ups between now & June. The psychedelic society is doing stuff for Bicycle Day on April 19 and are running a mushroom day at Belgrave on May 23. EGA has Garden States at Springvale on May 9.

    Giant pumpkin contest!!

Haven’t seen those, but the trombochino seedlings I got from there are good for a laugh if you let their fruit get big - kind of like a metre long butternut squash (but not as tasty which is why it’s better to eat them when they’re little).
  19. FB and it’s lack of ability (or desire) to catch people is not helpful. I help mod a group there and if it’s not some naive but desperate person asking for psychedelics it’s some random claiming to sell them. Even independently of that, I don’t think FB brings out the best in people. As for the influx, psychedelics are a big, big thing. Like the ‘next big thing’, bigger than cannabis stocks, complete with breathless articles in Forbes about making money from pharmaceutical psychedelics There was an article in the Motley Fool about making 1000% ROI, I shit you not. It’s not quite at the level of peak crypto hype, but you can see it coming. And that’s just the corporate money side. Lots of folks have heard about shrooms being good for depression etc. That, and I reckon a lot of people are as bored as shit and just want to experience something that feels like it means something. Combine that with a life of pretend instant (or is it Insta) gratification, and people can get pretty impatient. Like @waterboy 2.0 says, be firm, tell people how it is around here and smash that mf’ing report button if you have to.

  24. An icy ghost hand around my heart curl’d a pit of gravity in my stomach that cold sadness I have no true name for My quantified desires lubricate the slick silicon nictating membrane of the eye that watches me and knows all (but understands naught of my inner life) When the whole world’s your grave someone’s always walking over it (chasing Pokémon) Will they sing the new day in for us now? Still, on a few days and even more nights I can feel the old blood humming in me Memories or fantasies? Matters not. Either way, it shines in me ‘til I’m blind: Bear-sarked skin-changer raging against death Predator of night. Sword of the morning! And I recall my actual youth when I took the Orca as my totem and the sea-wolf kept me safe from teeth and deep (Remember; the ghost-dance is rebellion) Against good sense, and even existence I rebel. And in rebelling, I see: I am my pain, my joy. I AM my fear I see the icy hand is mine! And I reach into my chest and tear out my traitorous weak and cowardly heart And I dash it on the ground, stamping hard Life goes on, for a while, until next time Life: a moment. An instant: infinite
