my inference was that the loggers hadn't thought it through.
The government have, and rubbing their hands together in glee about how clever they are.

Firstly, the laws apply to any protest action, in which the protester prevents access to, or obstructs, or hinders a business in any way, even if the protest action is on public land, like a footpath or roadway. The definition of ‘business’ is incredibly broad. A protester is anyone who is engaging or participating in protest activity in furtherance of, or raising awareness of, an ‘opinion, or belief, in respect of a political, environmental, social, cultural or economic issue’. Obviously the list of beliefs and opinions of which you can peacefully protest has been severely curtailed.
Its been touted here in terms of stopping those "damn hippies" protesting against logging. and been sold, i believe successfully to the logging community who think its great. but i dont think they have thought it through, and realise the full consequences.
Its interesting to read this from the motorcycle perspective.
the thing about it is how open this is to abuse by politics. seriously scary.

I dont believe you would find them in sacred plant nurseries, as they aren't normally considered an ethnobotanical in the same sense as say brugmansia or daturas.
here in australia i have seen them growing in many botanical gardens and peoples yards, so i would have thought they would be equally common in the states.
im suggesting normal horticultural routes to source plants.
a quick google search brings up: http://www.kartuz.com/ in southern california, and http://www.caldwellhort.com/html/collector3.html in texas.
i dont know where you are so cant help any further. try google.
best of luck

I would suggest, unless other american members can help, looking around local rare plant nurseries, or contact your local brugmansia groups.

Oh My ....
Wow, Snu, Kudos mate. Im sure you know how many of us appreciate the work you put into this.
This is such an amazing book and nice to see it available in this format. I've got my treasured copy of this book, but to have a portable version is fantastic.
If you ever feel up to doing a 2nd edition it would definitely be appreciated ;)
Hope your well,
Many blessings, Obtuse.
I assume this is the book everyone refers to as "snu's book"?sure is :D

I would assume everyone floats around on the scale. we have days where we are not, and we have days where we need a little bit just to get through the day.

Nice One guys,
Good to see :D

could be any number of things, maybe botrytis, grey mould, or cobweb.
you must improve your airflow, maybe thin the shoots out a bit
the seedlings are too close together and causing raised humidity, allowing the fungus to go crazy

The feta i make never lasts long enough to be able to tell lol.
oil would keep out air and you can add other herbs to add flavour. has to be brined first anyway.
but brine seems as good for preserving.
i guess try them both.

Is it cobweb mould or is it spider mite?
spider mites, leave a cob-web like covering. and they are tiny, look for little red dots.

Its a hardy as F##k plant so dont worry too much.
but i dont think its wormwood as such. Its an Artemisia sp. i can see that from the stem and remaining leaves, but looks to me more like mugwort.
Maybe wallaby. all my wormwoods and mugworts are untouched at the moment so i wouldnt think possums. strange given they are going for my rhubarbs instead.
dont stress about the plant it wont die.

You have photos?
what size plant are we talking.
Nothings eating my wormwood at the moment, and i have possums and slugs/snails. but i dont image cats getting into it.

Very happy for you Halcyon :D

Best way to grow Anadenanthera C. from seed?

careful with germination, every lot i have tried have died from fungi, trying to keep them humid here in the cold.
