jimi hendrix at woodstock is also pretty good. the guy on the bongos is hilarious.

you've got a pretty bloody good list of music films and docos there, is hard to think of others.

  2. id go foil. probably better chance of it being sterile, and easier to fold and maintain sterility.

but grease proof paper would work ok if you needed it to.

best way to print, is place cap on the foil and leave for 24 hours. place a cup over the cap to maintain humidity.

spores do not drop off the gills they are forcibly ejected so humidity is important.

after 24 hours remove the cap, place the glass back on top this time to maintain sterility so dust and other spores do not settle. let dry out for 24 hours then fold over and/or place within foil envelope, and a baggie.

    label, and done.

  3. i have a similar thing with benedict allen books, i ended up reading all his novels. amazing stories, and i feel doesnt get enough credit given he was the pre-cursor to the bruce parry tribe thing, but i guess on his own mission to explore rather than attempt a superficial integration with the tribe.

didnt necessarily change my life though, but appreciated how he wanted to do crazy things alone and in a self sufficient manner, so made me feel normal.

  4. i would, but i have to downsize, and perhaps give away my cultures as well.

these sound like they could be fun too.

you have always been quite generous, and appreciate your giveaways. nice one mate :D

  5. sorry, my comment about sterile spawn was simply to illustrature the potential virility of contaminants in a closed environment such as a bag.

i did not mean to do this on sterile chips or some such, as yes the original mycelium is not from a sterile environment anyway.

didnt mean to cause any confusion. lol

Gnome82 has provided some great info, and yes if you wish to follow it up refer to mycelium running by Paul Stamets.

  6. The problem with warmer temperatures is that it can promote unwanted fungi.

in my experience trichoderma sp. loves warmer weather.

i guess then my advice would be for cool moist conditions if possible with free air. say under your house.

in my experience subs loves grass, grass clumbs may contribute to favourable humidity changes or there may be something else going on. do strigolactones contribute to pinning etc.

  7. family. its all it is about now. otherwise it would be a quiet day enjoyed with a book, or a hike up a mountain (at least id know id probably have the mountain to myself except for other non christmasy people)
