  1. A guilty pleasure?? How about we just call it a pleasure, yes that’s much better. It needn’t be a guilty one. Nor should it be an act shrouded in disdain. Nang use goes back as far as the 1700’s where Victorian aristocrats would get together for laughing gas partys. (That’s high society in every sense of the word.) The next time you indulge in huffing on a ballon or wrap your lips around a cream charging chalice and someone decides to cast a judgey look in your direction, worry not for they just don’t understand how cultured and sophisticated you truely are. I urge you to keep your head held high, turn your nose slightly upward and crack another coldy. Without even knowing it, you are the epitome of class.

    Meet Up: Gold Coast

Another Meetup on the 19th of November @ 2:30pm. same place as usual. For any newcomers, It’s an informal get together to catch up with plantheads to share, swap, chat and learn. Very chill environment with a welcoming group of plant enthusiasts. Bring along any excess plants or seed you may have (though it’s not a must) and talk all things plants. Any questions hit me up. Hope you can make it. Enjaytee

  7. Hey all.

Im respectfully asking that you do not ask for seeds from my latest endeavour. If they were available I’d let it be known. At the risk of coming across as self important, selfish, dramatic or rude. It’s getting a bit much and would like it to stop if possible. I share my progress in hope of encouraging others to have a crack and hopefully in the future these seeds will be more abundant. I prob sound like a c*nt but hey, whatevs… Obviously there is no harm in asking so I’m simply asking that you don’t ask :)

    Kindest regards, Enjaytee.

    From the album: My Garden

Voila! Ready to collect and sow. You’ll notice the tips of the calyx start to brown when the seeds are about ready to collect.

    Successful pollination and ripening

    From the album: My Garden

Unsuccessfully pollinated calyx seem to drop off. If they stay on, pay close attention and watch the nutlets start to swell.

    Caressing the corolla

    From the album: My Garden

I’ve been hand pollinating a few times a day, whenever a corolla drops I use it to pollinate the others. Helps having some natives on the job too.

Ok @Yves0071 I’m after M.turcomanica in particular. I’ll keep looking. Thanks for your response. @withdrawl clinic yes lagochilus is an absolute pain to grow in oz from what I understand. This one would be getting grown in uk in a controlled environment.
