Only met a nice guy and his gf once we were out hunting, was nice meeting a fellow shroomster Omen, what i do is study google maps, and search instagram for various locations to see what i can see, for nice walks .
  6. Hello, I was walking in the hills near home, and noticed a few trees - some in poor state with lovely white/pinkish flowers. I took a branch home, checked the leaves and flowers, which reminded me of hibiscus so i searched for native hibiscus. The yellow flowers are more common in Queensland, and the white NSW, which i think being in the Gold Coast hinterland, might be the range of the white flowering native hibiscus I have 2 cuttings growing, and seem to be doing okay. They'd be a nice native flower to have in the garden

^ nice :D , we just got back home, not much around at all, actually no shrooms around here locally, could not go to the usual spot, saw farmer entering, but fields nearby bare looking from the car. The coming heat and storms might, be good. We only started last March with mushroom hunting, but remembered the spot from when we were younger had cows.

130mm at home here in the Gold Coast hinterland , in general the area has had up to 150mm or so. Might wait 1 day and check either tomorrow or thursday, not as much rain as was expected from this event

Very wet in the normal hunting grounds and also the very public one near home, had waterlogged what resembled Pans, but totally done in, the normal hunting grounds also had water bubbling like a spring from the ground, once the sun is out and all the rainfall - cubes and pans should be appear
  13. Thanks Spooge! received my prints today- overcast chilly morning 11c, be interesting to see how they look compared to other fungi under the microscope
  14. In the recent rains these little guys appeared and are still about - only counted 5 of them. Mornings have been pretty cold 1.3 , 2.4. 5c etc and this morning 1.6c. I assume these are a winter species
