Been unleashing my inner dag with Jeff Lynne. I didnt give him a 2nd thought in the 70's but he's a genuinely talented man. I like his voice more now more, either an age thing or is it just the lack of compression on the vocals?

Could you mail yourself back a small section then slab graft it??

Ive never had a variegated seedling.so im unsure. Nice one. Maybe wait till its almost the diameter (at the scions widest) of the peres stock? Being in Tas, it might be an idea to get it done well before the cold nights return and dormancy creeps in.

The blocks i use are call eazy plug they're fron the local hardware store. I give em a squeeze after soaking to get some air into them. Careful a large area of rockwool doesnt hold too much water, then get manky. Ive done 65/35 perlite/vermiculite too, but prefer the cubes, less algae. Ive given up on the 'thermomats' so uneven, i wonder if a moist piece of material would disappate the heat from the element more evenly and promote humidity. Much like the heat n grow does (see pic). Haven't tried this yet myself but have a worm farm blanket that looks a likely candidate.

My 2 cents: Submerging the cutting underwater when taking the final slice is the single best thing to do for success. When it comes out of the water aim to have a drooplet clinging to the cut. Then dunk into the cloning gel. Not required for succulents i don't think. I prefer using those blocks over jiffy pellets and a product called 'starter soak' is great for weedy plants, ect. Low EC and balanced nuts for good health from the get go. Available at hydro shops. Then into a heated/ humid environment like a 'heat n grow'.

Hi, could anyone ID this tree? Each year about now it hosts a range of pollinators. Some of my bee keeping friends are interested in the seedlings that grow at its base but we dont know what it is. Id say it has potential to be a bit invasive.

Will do thanks for that
