IT's still illegal to grow cannabis in NSW even one plant, but often the police turn blind eye for couple of plants for personal use, depending on their mood on that day, stitutation, but the the police received complants from the public, they will have to bust you even you only growing one plant, its all about protecting their "image" anyway. The police nowdays just can't be bothered to do all the bullshit paperwork for personal use (like couple of plants, and didnt cause any problems to the public, just being your average goody goody citizen). But it's ILLEGAL to grow in NSW anyway, and almost all states in Australia. Yes, one clone is still one "plant" under the law's eyes, but the clone can be grown as high you want to be. A very stoned gnome I know been searching around about sally's growing conditions, since the gnome lives in Brisbane which he assume is just about right conditions for the sallys, and he has about 4 sally's plants about foot high and very wide with average 20-30 leaves all about 3 months old raised from cuttings all also growing in 20cm wide pots, and can see the roots in the drainage holes at the bottom of the pots. He was curious to hear from anyone who lives in similar conditions as Brisbane grew sally's do they prefer to be transfered to a bigger pots or chuck them in the ground in nice richy type of compost of soil?? of course when it was legal... Since this is the Gnome's first experience growing sallys outdoors, and he was curious what will happen to the Sally's at the end of the summer?? do they die? or best to make heaps of cuttings for the next season?? The gnome remembered that he saw somewhere that Reville mentioned that Sallys like to grow in the soil/ground.. right?? The gnome would have probably find all the answers thru the Shaman's search, but he seems to have problems with it, and he wishes to apologises if this is the 1000th same question posted in this site.....and all the Sally growing information that he found on the internet seem to be for european conditions and using hydroponic set-ups.. maybe the gnome hasn't looked hard enough... I am not going into a debating in this shaman's forum, I think I am in the wrong place to debate about that, thats why we have the ozstoners australian forum, it's all depending of the strain, breed history and the grow conditions, and I think it actually meant that Indicas are better yeilds in short time than sativas, sativas are better in long grow time, if you get my drift. Yes, medicinal use with cannabis is still not well known in Australian Medicinal circles, and I think I am the wrong person to ask more details in the medicial use of cannabis. There's plenty of cannabis use medicially information in USA, Canadian and European based websites. That's why we are seeking more members in our Australian website so we all can learn and share more. It's bit hard for me to say which strains, sativa or indica is best for medicianl use, it all depends on the patient's condition and personal taste I guess. I have copied and pasted an posting/thread from the ozstoners website giving you bit more details and idea which strain to order: The Differences of Cannabis Indica and Sativa plants. Fat Leaves and Short Bush = INDICA Thin Leaves and Tall Bush = SATIVA Sativas are just about the opposite of Indicas. They are tall, thin plants, with much narrower leaves and grow a lighter green in color. They grow very quickly and can reach heights of 20 feet in a single season. They originally come from Colombia, Mexico, Thailand and Southeast Asia. Once flowering has begun, they can take anywhere from 10 to 16 weeks to fully mature. Flavors range from earthy to sweet and fruity. Sativa's higher THC than CBD equals cerebral, soaring type of high, more energetic which can stimulate brain activity and may produce minor hallucinations in senstive people. Sativa plants are taller, take longer to mature, have less chlorophyll and more accessory pigments (accessory pigments protect the plant from excessive sunlight). As Sativa strains have less chlorophyll than Indica they take longer to grow, mature, and require more light. Better for indoor growing, because they don't get as tall. Indica plants are short, bushy, mature early, have more chlorophyll and less accessory pigments (accessory pigments protect the plant from excessive sunlight). As Indica strains have more chlorophyll than sativa they grow and mature faster. Combining different indicas, different sativas or a combination thereof creates hybrids. The resulting hybrid strains will grow, mature and smoke in relationship to the indica/sativa percentages they end up containing. Thousands of specially-bred, organically grown marijuana plants, wait to have their resins extracted at the GW Pharmaceuticals lab in England. Scientists at GW Pharmaceuticals, Britain's legal med-pot research facility, have announced that Sativa strains are more effective at treating pain than Indica strains. The company has a 20,000 plant garden in England, and intends to introduce cannabis- based prescription drugs by 2004.
