Moses wanted to be upset from the moment cronik fatigue put in his two cents, which can be seen by him using the incident with his girlfriend as an example, despit the fact that cronik was obviously directing his angst toward those who tote knives around in self defence and try to justify it, which had nothing to do with Moses' girlfriend and her assailant. Of course when I pointed out that if his missus had a knife it probably would have been worse, this inflamed his anger because it contradicted his arguement. Moses is pissed off right now, and rightly so, but he is directing his anger in the wrong place, and looking for people and ideologies to blame.

My question is; Why should you like him? I think he is a terrible role model for Australians to. His shows are basically a "what not to do" when it comes to nature, and is a far cry from the non-interferance methods used by REAL zoologists such as Attenborough. We never actually get to see animals behaving naturally on Irwins' shows, as he was always "pissing them off" as Eric Cartman would say. Oh well, at least animals butholes are safe for the time being.

The place where I live doesn't seem to have that problem. Compassion had been thrown out the window long before I joined this thread. The way I said it may have been a little fucked, but so are a lot of messages of truth, and as humans it is something we have to learn to deal with. Our loved ones will die, some horribly and it will be painful to watch. We will all be betrayed at one point or another by people we hold dear. Both these statements are fucked to hear but we all know they ring true. Learn to live with and even embrace the negatives of life and they will seem so much more insignificant, whereas the positives will be so much more meaningful.

Carrying a knife with the plan of using it in self defence means it is to be used as a weapon, whether you are the aggressor or not. Its designated use is to inflict harm. I never said it was her her fault that she was attacked and I doubt it was but to say she NEEDED a knife is imflammatory in the least. People get caught in fucked situations sometimes but this is never justification for carrying a weapon, or else this becomes an excuse for any old cocksucker to pick up a piece and parade it around in the guise of self defence. The threat of harm is a fact of life and to arm youself for protection is to live in fear of this hypothetical harm. Those who do need the feeling of power to overide this fear. No you don't you just wish you lived in less fear than me. You need to find a place to live where random dickheads don't try to beat up on women, there are plenty of nice places out there.
