I get this too, and whats weird is the worms indoors in a worm farm do the same thing, they will all be trying to escape.

Heres some astros in that mix, with seedraising mix. Seeds germinated 14.5.16, i think one of em is doing something funny. 105mm pot.

i cant comment on the coir, the seedraising mix is fairly sandy. It might be ok though. Most the coir ive used has been super acidic. Fernland is a good find, i wish i had the room for a pallet load of pumice lol.

Thats right db. Although ive tried a few others lately ( loph, astro) including the seedrasing mix and I must say they are growing much quicker. But fungicide was required, without the fungicide i get pots full of fluff.

I had alot of trouble trying to find those minerals in the stone eaters book and gave up. Atm for seedlings im using 1/5 scoria 1/5 zeo-clor 1/5 crusher dust (granite) 1/5 river sand 1/5 seedraising mix (for trichocereus only) All washed and sieved max 7mm, smallest 0.5 mm. Im experimenting with coral ruble in place of limestone chips as i cant find any, ive seen marble chips for sale which should work ok but coral was way cheaper. Also was thinking activated carbon might work, it has great porisity. I had good results with diatomite but its far to expensive. I'd love to try pumice but same deal. Also spongolite is another one to try find, its quite good. Works into a very airy mix.

Aye bunnings has zeo-clor for pool filters. Or is bunnings not local?
-
I would be keen to see pics this is a 4 cm degraft it rooted no problem at all with peres completely removed. Its starting to look more normal everyday. From what I've read you dont want to go too much bigger. Ill be trying some bigger ones next year. I cant comment on the price, not everyone will pay ebay prices.

12 good giveaway

which fungicide did you use? had good results with fungarid, wish i had it when i tried the lithops.
-
yea, I've had acacias take months before. I've never covered cacti seeds as most need light to germinate, I'm guessing its fairly humid in the box. the cacti seeds love the humidity, I keep the pots cling wrapped and then those pots in zip-lock bag. But i don't have a greenhouse just dry old shelves in the shed... for now. I tried some lythops and they didn't seem to appreciate those conditions lol I had a bag full of white fuzz. I'd give it another couple weeks though, just make sure the soil isn't drying out.
-
You didn't cover the cacti seeds with soil did you? The acacia can take a while without pre-treatment.

I suspect trump will win by a long shot. I dont believe hillary is healthy enough to be president nor does she deserve to be. Shes a piece of work she is.
