Perfect or imperfect is simply a matter of perspective. A completed and jumbled Rubik's cube are merely different ways of looking at the same object through our human understanding of time. A plant experiences existence on a different timescale to us. Different stages in its growth could be looked at in isolation and considered 'imperfect' or 'perfect', but ultimately it is the same plant, and any conception of perfection is in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps we need to stop trying to anthropomorphise our concepts of a creator. Perhaps we are merely fragments of the creator at a single point in its journey, we are the jumbled pieces of a Rubik's cube. Looking at ourselves or this world from this limited viewpoint, it is easy to fall into the trap of judgement of what is perfect or imperfect. Maybe it's all just part of an infinite journey in a constant state of becoming... So yeh.... It's not about what you perceive, but how you perceive it.

The germ rates were actually too good from the last lot... My containers from SS OP seed are ridiculously overcrowded.

Since its a matter of definitions... When you define something you simultaneously define its opposite. Any container must consider that which it does not contain. When you choose to perceive 'good' or light, you are also choosing to perceive 'bad' or darkness. As mountaingoat has said, a big problem for us all is our unwillingness to look at the darkness.

Mountaingoat i agree. Is it any wonder that the dissolution of ego is a blissful experience? The self, the ego, our search for identity. Each word, each description, is a container. But this isn't to say that identity is 'bad', our entire reality is constructed through our perception, the act of sensing an identifying 'other' in relation to 'self'. This exploration can be as fun or as terrifying as we choose. The 'self', the known, can be a foundation or a prison, or anything in between. The 'other', the unknown, can be a source of fear or inspiration, or anything in between. The truth is what we choose it to be.

would it ever be possible to degraft that caespitosa to own roots? would you have to cut the mass somewhere near the bottom or bury a tiny bit of stock and wait until strikes roots?

It's water related I think, one of my scope does the same after rain sometimes. I think the soil mix is less airy than it should be. When I repot I'm adding pumice, currently he has sand and perlite with potting mix.

I'm think with these cultivars you only get a small percentage of true forms if your lucky. Best way (ive been told be some experienced growers) is to buy from the private collectors but they charge around 20 to 30 euro for five seeds.

I tried germinating in a semi translucent plastic box once, these elongated acacia seedlings all died eventually. However, the others that I germinated in open shade next to mirrors are going strong.
