You can quite clearly see the point where it went from having six ribs to four. As I think I mentioned before I am barely even a novice as regards this sort of thing, but why does it suddenly change like that? Is it running out of nutrition or something? Another thing is, this little offshoot started off right at the base of the plant. Is that related to the ribs diverging from six to four. What's that all about?

The left is Trichocereus Peruvianus apparently, the right is Mystillocactus Geometrizans. -

Don't know if this qualifies, but I have a small T. Pachanoi x T. Scopulicola growing which started off 6 ribs then became 4 as the weather cooled down.

Yeah that MFG album is really one of a kind. I think it has to do with the fact they originally started off as a dark industrial outfit and were also one of the very few groups that actually abstained from the forbidden fruits. But I love any old stuff by Etnica/Pleiedians too! I would definitely be keen to check out some more psy -oriented albums myself, as I'm sure there must be good stuff out there and I like trying to narrow stuff down to top five lists and such. So any recommendations from anyone would be much appreciated.

I just find this whole case a little weird. How it can even happen?

Scale insect doesn't sound good As you can see the one of the left T. Pachanoi x T. Scopulicola seems a lot more affected than the T. Peruvianus var. matucana on the right. They've always been kept side by side and I was very glad to see them finally get growing a bit last summer only those marks got progressively worse.

that too!

Ah ha, I've read the name Eckhart Tolle enough times now to be silly not to look into it. What's a good introduction to his works? Also, I'm thinking Aldous Huxley might hold some weight around here too?

And of course some of you might be aware that goa started making a bit of a comeback?? Not quite there yet imho butsome of it has magic in it for sure

Thanks to all for all other recommendations BTW. @Paradox, I actually much prefer the earlier proto-goa 'acid'-trance style to the genres it later evolved into (all types of psy-trance) Still I won't deny I probably haven't looked hard enough into whether there is actually much good modern psy-trance out there. I'm sure there must be. But when I say 'good' I'm referring to that which carries a certain spirit; in goa-trance this is undoubtedly the energy, the synths, the complexity in simplicity etc
