Hi, I know of a n-rustica plant that is on its fourth year and going strong. I thought these were annuals? Has anyone heard of such an old tobacco plant before? cheers.

I am having trouble with aqis [quarantine] releasing a package of 98% honokiol. They want to know the genus and species ? Dont they have google? I think they think its plant material. anyway, I dont want to waste any more time dealing with them, its doing my head in. I would really appreciate a pm if someone knows of an australian supplier, even for magnonol/honokiol mixtures. I have searched endless hours but cannot find a supplier. cheers clarence.

oh great. I ordered honokiol powder from the us and it got stopped by quarantine. they say that because the package says not for human consumption, they want to know what it is used for. Any suggestions to help me free it from quarantine? cheers.

Hi mrpotato, I have been stumbling across references to honokiol in other forums recently , and all seem to say the same thing, that it is a very real non placebo alt to benzo's .. the 98% pure honokiol, taken in approx dosage of 500 mgs apparently kills anxiety with little drowsiness. It sounds too good to be true, and I would love to give it a try. Perhaps some others on this forum might have a bit more info or have tried it. Please report back if you try it. edit. it appears that 500 mgs would be too much for a starting dose. For someone with no benzo tolerance according to some references 25 to 50 mgs would be good for a test. 500 mgs would probably be the sort of dose for someone with high benzo tolerance. I have ordered some 98% and it should be here about the 15th jan. will report back after i have tried it.

Well bugger me!! I tried the adelaide kava and its quite pleasant. nice and relaxing, a bit like calm without too much euphoria, and even a tad unsteady on my feet. so I dont recommend using old kava past its useby date. it definately doesn't work in my experience. or it might have been crap kava to begin with. this adelaide stuff makes your mouth go really numb, and they say thats a good sign for good kava.

aha! that makes sense. I gave up the beer just over 2 weeks ago and maybe my gaba receptors are still a bit dodgy. also I have very little effect from benzo's. but I have ordered some more fresh kava from adelaide, and I will give that a go.

yeah I am consuming all the root fibres! maybe I should filter it a bit. failing that, I will just have to plan my kava use out of noseshot of the general public.

well this is the third day of kava experimenting and the farts are still happening. sort of like castor oil smell, but much worse. like no fart I have ever smelt, not that I'm right in to fart analysis

I have just tried kava recently, and I dont think its all that good quality, plus its over a year old, so the effect is mild or placebo, but I noticed the next morning the strangest smelling farts. Is this a common occurrence?

hmmm, now for the obvious ? do they posess the desired alcaloids? or are they just a weed? there is quite a few of them, and they have been appearing for a few years now in the same spot. they appear to be very hardy.

hi there, I noticed these growing on the side of the road, and was curious what they were.
