  1. More DEA-logic-fuckery...cites 'a lack of evidence for non-toxicity and safety data' (keeps it illegal to research so that no such data can be gathered)

    US to schedule Kratom

While the US has been one of the fee countries to not yet list Kratom as schedule 1 narcotic, it comes as no surprise that they would do so. More moralistic probibitionism in the service of Big Pharma and the corporate corrections industry. Hope this doesn't affect suppliers that deliver to OZ http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidkroll/2016/08/30/dea-to-place-kratom-mitragynine-on-schedule-i-premature-move-may-compromise-research-benefits/#74e4fd297924

I moved to Nrth NSW from Goldy

Hi 2Deep, I'm just on the otherside of Coffs (but moving to Sydney real soon) ...still keen on finding out who's in the area though as my plants will still be here for a while and the plan is to buy some land up this way eventually - maybe near Valla or Repton

any news on the proposed DMT rescheduling ?
  7. just a thought...it would be cool to see if EGA 2017 could incorporate a screening of 'Dying to Know' the Leary-Ram Dass film premiered in the US recently http://dyingtoknowmovie.com/
  8. So in addition to these new base shoots, there is also one emerging from under the soil ! Why does this happen...anyone ?

Meet up: Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle

October 1st sounds good for me too, A Saturday is much better and leaves the long weekend open for other explorations
  10. I took a few photos of some the Acacias in flower in Auckland today, to my eye they look 'Longifolia-esque' and I'd be interested to know what they are if they are not A.Longifolia. The first 5 pics are the same plant - the second 5 are from a grove of similar looking trees

    Auckland Acacias

It's quite amazing how variable one species can be - even aside from known sub-species. I'd also noticed distinct form variation in Floribunda grown from the same seed in same conditions. Pretty crazy that an Obtuse seed should bear a Longifolia looking tree...is this perhaps due to growing conditions too, like changes in season temperature (I've noticed Courtii still with little rods here and there)

    Start of season cactus giveaway

  14. Curious as to these new shoots sprouting form the base of my 1-yr old Cielo (and exciting given the time of year), this doesn't seem to be the way they would usually form in a jungle environment - and I simply haven't seen any others do this.
  15. I'm mostly interested in rooted cuts, but either way a cutting of the Peruvianus would be awesome cheers Mole
  16. Thanks Ferret - I would love to get T. pachanoi monstrose x T. pachanoi 'Huancabamba' #2 -
  17. Hi Zedo, Possibly A. Maidenii (a broader leaf variety) which flowers in Summer though - and as it looks like there's a little one waiting to burst there in the bottom photo I'd keep an eye on it and see how it looks in a few weeks. Google images can be a good place to start -be aware thought that you will often get other people's identification queries and photos cropping up too si check the website source. World Wide Wattle is also very good for working out what's in your area and there is a list of references for Acacia identification here too http://worldwidewattle.com/infogallery/identification/

  20. vote 3 for Salvia Droid ! and also second Yeti's suggetion of Peter Sjöstedt-H, his work covers a fascinating intersection of ideas...and while we're at the psychedelic crossroads, it would be cool to get Dr David Luke out here http://www.parapsych.org/users/dluke/profile.aspx It would also be great to see James Jesso In Australia again too; http://www.jameswjesso.com/ On the local level it would be nice to hear from Graham St John; http://www.edgecentral.net/ and Alex Gearin; https://culturaladmixtures.wordpress.com/ For any members who have not been to an EGA event, the 10 Year Anniversary Symposium in 2014 was my first and it was an amazing 'formal' introduction to the broader Australian psychedelic scene, saw so many great speakers and panels, bought heaps of cool books and met a tonne of awesome fellow plant people

Awesome pics there sagiXsagi, when she grows a little larger (and I have called her "Betty'), I'll try a deeper pot and eventually take a cutting and propagate more. Bedofspines, this was also an eBay find...a bargain at $40 then. Ah yes Horus indeed, makes sense...must check out that cave with your namesake's image too next time

Post a random CACTI picture thread

So happy with my weekend purchases
  23. Hi all, Does anyone know if this product actually works for countering potential positive results in A Random Drug Test? It appears to function by introducing a 'clean' substance into the mouth which is then tested revealing nothing. https://www.biotene.com/dry-mouth-products/moisturizing-mouth-spray/ cheers,
