The life of a grafted button

    so badass.
  3. A photo from "Theaan's Garden" on Facebook. Pachanois loving the South African climate
  4. Yeah you're right. I've had flower buds abort when I've repotted, but they fell off after awhile. Since your scop's have been there for that many months they're probably just stalled.
  5. My thoughts as well. Disturbance to the root ball will set back the flowering process. I'm guessing those flower buds were aborted if they've been chilling for that long.
  6. Bumping again to see if any of you Aussies have had flowers and made a scop x scop cross yet this summer.
  7. Sorry for the multiple posts, I'm on mobile atm Here's a couple more pics of this plant from Malo that I just found on The Nook. When I first found that thread I misread and thought it was the plant in the foreground, but you can actually see it in the background of this first pic, and in the middle of the second (which appears to be an updated shot of the mother plant from my first post.
  8. And here is a cutting from that mother plant growing in my yard
  9. KK1689 "peruvianus v. puquiensis" from T-trich (I got these photos from him)
  10. Said to be KK242, from a old collector in California who obtained it 20+ years ago

    Ogunbodede´s Pachanoi

Here's mine. It's been grown in full sun all day so it's got a bit of a yellow tint to it. Just repotted to 5 gal, it should take off and get fatter this summer. Hopefully Trucha or others can chime in to help answer some of these questions.

    Ogunbodede´s Pachanoi

It's really interesting and a bit worrying to hear that pachanoi is not so common in the wild any longer. I hadn't expected that the domestic rates of collection were all that high. I wonder how many different strains of the "home plants" there are in Lima (is it one or two clones or is there a ton of variety from wild collected plants?) I'm guessing you've seen the photos of the cuttings when they arrived in the US, but here they are for those who haven't (taken from Trout's website):

  19. Did any of you guys end up sowing and grafting any of the scop seeds that were sold from Sacred Succulents / Germany on Ebay (huachuma verified these were the same seeds)? I'm keen to see how they look!

    BK14518.4

Looks like Ben wrote the wrong collection number on my seed packet (BK14516.4), hence the confusion. Thanks for the photo huachuma, looks like a nice pachanoi!
