As Acacia Phlebophylla seeds would be maturing up at Mt Buffalo around now, I am wondering whether anyone has any spare seeds. I know this tree is rare and sacred, and very hard to propagate outside its natural environment but I would still like to give it a go. And if a reliable tek was to be found that would be great for this species and the ethno community. Cheers and peace to all,

Woukd love to get a few prints also if any spare.

Thanks Planthelper, I will look up Melbourne uni to see if the tree is bearing seed. Cheers,

Like Quarterflesh, get the déjà vu. A lot of times lately it's like I have already done this. Like the world is out of sink by a few months or year at the most.

Hi mutant, nice photos of the P.serbica var Bohemica growing wild. would love to get a spore print so I can examine the spores at 1000x magnification using an expensive Leica microscope that I have the privilege to access for personal projects The microscope has a camera attached so I could post some photos here. You can see other spore photos I took recently in the members gallery. Cheers

Mother nature can certainly make her point. As long as you can learn something from this. Probably good idea to put up some 50% shade cloth on a frame above your special plants to protect in the event of future storms.

Hello fellow plant lovers, I would love to buy some Acacia phlebophylla seeds to grow here in Tasmania. As we all know it's an endangered tree so the more we can grow and distribute seeds or seedlings the better. If someone can help with some seeds they would like to sell I would be greatly appreciated. Cheers,

Acacia Phlebophylla - Mt Buffalo National Park Victoria
Sulik114 replied to THCixx420's topic in News & Notices
Yes not very good news defiling rare sacred trees like that, harvesting a few seed pods would have been the better option and then they could grow there own little orchard. And what a barbaric pruning job, hopefully they will get some heavy talking to on one of there next trips and promise not do this again. -
Thanks heaps PD, awesome. Once I work out how to PM you on this ipad I'll pass you my address. Don't worry I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to doing things so I will do my research and use best practice in propagating the seeds. I will actually keep a complete diary of steps taken, materials used and photo progress shots of the propagation from seed to small tree. Will post this here online and hopefully the tek will be a success and help others to achieve similar results. Cheers,
