Hello All I obtained a second Cereus Monstrose from 'madhouse visits' (thanks again). This was to replace one demolished by my 7kg Dachshund. Now my dog is tiny the spines are massive and the main parts that he eats are the areolas. So now he has taken a liking to my new one but he has access to so many other varieties of cactus why does he keep selecting these? I know the solution is to move the plant, but why does he only select this variety? Stupid Topic perhaps. Thanks all.

How large are the pots in comparison to the width of the plant? I know I used to put them in HUGE pots hoping to build a massive root system. All that did was keep the soil wet and make them a bitch to move.

I find using pot stands really help in getting the soil aerated again, do you keep them off the ground?

When I saw that picture I thought it must have been BAP'd. Nice to know urine has the same effect. Personally I stick to worm wee but given that my garden is a court yard it might get smelly quick.

Sorry photos by PM only just trying to comply with some of the legalities in my area. Prices will start from $40 for the grafts $70 for the rooted items. Some of the larger items may be sold by offer especially the largest one at 7cms +.

Afternoon All I have a few buttons grown in their own roots ranging in size from 3cms - 7cms. These will be photographed tomorrow and the photos distributed by PM only. I also have a couple of flowering grafts grown on pere and trich's. If your interested please msg me and I will send you the photos.
