Adults respond well to drinking the tea 2-3 times a day made from flat t-spoon of macerated root. Best herb I've come across for asthma/bronchitis......tastes pretty ordinary though.

Far from it....I think it's great that the lecture is being offered but I guess that we all have different reasons for welcoming it.......either way it will be met with thanks; but I hope that if there are women present who are feeling under valued or a little bit missed in the sea of men that the way to rectify that is to be more present amongst the men and the conversations, workshops at hand rather than less. OOHHh its all a bit much for me this late at night...........or in the mornings..........or when Im eating.......or....

HHhmmm, all very well said..........thanks for opening the discussion well in advance of the ega gathering. When it comes to sexism weather real or percieved I think it often boils down to the individuals life experiences all round. There will probably always be more males at EGA just like there is almost always more males on a trance dancefloor. I personally have never felt intimidated or unheard (maybe coz Ive not got much to say as Im very much a fresh learner and my ears are there to listen) When discussing experiences relating to ethno-plants Ive felt my input has been equally recognised and respected; and i dont feel compelled to give thanks for that , It's something that I expect and therefor not debated or questioned. For me the term Shaman conjures images of man yet the term Healer makes me feel connected to woman and the deep history of herbal lore, midwifery and 'magic'. Im sure in the world there are far more men growing the Yang-expansive herbs and more women cultivating the Yin-contractive herbs that relate to health and healing rather than psychadelic experience and growth, but I could be wrong? If at a conference such as EGA there happens to be a male or two who are expressing vibes of inequality Im sure that carries on with them in their daily patterns not just this community. ( Unfortunate spiritual juveniles who are self sabbotaging their true human capacity to give and receive abundant energy and love.) Although I felt it came from a genuine place I have to say I cringed just a little at your post regarding the womens lecture Ronny, it made me feel like its place at the conference was to pacify the women and that it was somehow needed to make us feel welcome and accepted.........I already feel welcome and that the support shown to this event and community has been met with nothing but respect. But I see this kind of "secret womens business" as a special opportunity for the coming together of women to express, share and manifest at a higher level the sacred femine energy that when magnified by intentional gatherings increases the healing potential and growth of not only those woman present but all other women and men and creatures, critters, plants and beings and the mother earth herself. (you know it spreads and blows far on the wind!) As happens when men intentionally gather together to raise masculine energy to a higher power for the purpose of bonding,sharing,and healing ,not that Im aware of men coming together for that reason often enough...? Iv'e probably fluffed off the core reason for these posts so I think I'll sign off for now, but I truely think that if Bruce was a Betty that the men would be just as keen to participate in the workshop because ultimately its all about the shrooms, no matter what gender the shroom-guru happens to be.......................... And yes Its a great thing to have a more balanced program of presenters we just need the balance in numbers to be there for that to be possible, Hooray for EGA and Girls and Boys equally............I for one dont want us to morph into hermaphradites to smooth out inequality!

Hello to all, Just to let you all know (please see EGA thread) that Im planning to set up a memorial for my/our mate Aaron who sadly left this realm last november. It will be in the temple at the EGA conference, so if your there and feel like spending a minute, feel free or if you'd like to add something please do. If anyone cant make it but would like to contribute in any way please pm me and let me know..........thanks heaps, this forum meant alot to Aaron.

Hello folks, some may remember me from my brief introduction about six months ago (at the time I got a computer for the first time.....still very virgin-like!) It was an introduction mainly through the saddest of circumstances when our good mate Aaron / Psycho0 passed away.........tough times, but the support shown here from you all made it lighter for myself and also his family. I've kept in contact with Aarons girlfriend (who I met for the first time at his funeral) over the past months to lend her support and an opportunity to speak freely about where she's at and how she feels......She is one gr8 gal. At this years EGA I endeavour to create a space dedicated to the memory of our much missed mate...... a place where people can go to pay respect, reflect, laugh, cry,or just be. A little place that allows Aaron to be part of this years conference...........shit, he may even make the whole thing this year (without getting arrested on a morning fishing 'trip') If anyone would like to contribute in any way by bringing a token to leave at his alter, or a plant they would like included in a tribute garden....all will be honoured and appreciated. Plan is also to make a book available to write in thoughts, memories, stories or to just sign in loving support that will later be passed onto his family. (if they are happy for us to do so...I lost my phone with father and brothers number but I recently e-mailed Kat and Im sure she will get back to me shortly with blessings) Aaron was one of the funniest/cheekiest dudes Ive been blessed to know so in no way do I see this space as being solomn......although I may crack a tear or two? What a fucking great day,tears asided, I dont think it could have gone down any more appropriately, Aaron would have been chuffed at the turn out and the content and our little get together afterwards as there was enough laughs I reckon to keep him amused and chuckling. ( It worked for me and am very thankful for you dudes for lifting my spirits and making it a day to remember with a smile ) His family was grateful to all the love passed onto them. RIP my gr8 mate

Thanks for notice cm, Would like some feed back if anyone interested in gathering at Mt Evelyn tomorrow night around 7-8 oclock. Leave some details so we few know if this will take place. Tomorrow will be heavy for sure but a few laughs together sometimes is whats needed to say goodbye in the style that Aaron would see as fitting ??????? Aarons Dad said that when the dust settles he will look at taking some cuttings of some of Aarons plants as I expressed my desire to start a patch of garden in memory of my beloved mate, I'll keep you posted if this eventuates and share any offerings with those interested in cultivating a little patch of Psyco0, My thoughts tomorrow will be of love for and to all who cannot make it to his service.

Hey dudes, I just had a call from Aarons Dad, good long chat heart felt thanks for all the kind words that have been passed onto family and friends. Funeral will be on Friday around 3 oclock in Springvale. Notice in tomorrows papers. I know that they are ultra strict at that place as far as memorial settings go so I'm not sure that planting any tributes will be possible If any one wants a lift I'm more than happy to help if your in my area (Mt. Evelyn) or can do a pick up from Lilydale train station? If you all feel cool about gathering at my place, I'm very happy to cook a meal on Friday night and share in a beverage or two, but am also open to any other suggestions ???

Nothing definate as yet about Aarons funeral but Kat email me this morning and thinks it looks like Friday. If it's to be held near his home that would be arond Knox way, does anyone have any suggestions about getting together after? His parents will probably have a formal wake but I was thinking later where we can feel a bit freer to honour and laugh and remember the Aaron we new ( I dont think his parents would gain from knowing some of the experiences that have been shared with him) Maybe Ruby,s in Belgrave ? Or I'm more than happy to have a gathering at my place in Mt. Evelyn if it suits others ? How surreal all this feels......
