'We have broken speed of light'

Would you like to prove that anything exists in our world beyond our senses?

'We have broken speed of light'

Have just place a request on two of Brian Greenes books at my local library. Thanks for posting about it. Hitherto Paul Davies has been my favorite author regards this sort of stuff.

    I love karma

sounds like good karma to me. He had a choice between two paths. He chose the more virtuous path and was rewarded beyond his expectations.

'We have broken speed of light'

This confuses me. The first paragraph seems to be suggesting you don't believe in time dilation due to speed and the second statement suggest you do.

'We have broken speed of light'

Two atomic clocks where used. I assume the most accurate at the time. I think the best proof of time dilation is the subatomic particles created in bubble chambers. For whatever reasons their life span ( shall we say ) is known and tested and when they are created in bubble chambers moving at great speeds they actually stay in existence longer in correspondance to time dilation predictions. I don't see any great changes to what we knew before in the experiment. It seems to me to be a great illustration of the uncertainty principle. As the time frame was instantaneuos then it seems to me the particle could have come out at infinte speed.

    Sleep work shift disorder!

I have worked them for 22 years. I really don't think it is taking that much of a toll on me. In the past I have done full time study and full time nightshift and that definately took a toll.

    Sleep work shift disorder!

I would suggest you try and have another night of normal sleep around Sunday. As long as I get two night of sleep I seem to be able to deal with a chaotic sleep pattern.

    Sleep work shift disorder!

Restavit which is available from pharmacy works pretty well. I find half a 25MG tablet works really well without any hangover in the morning. Not sure about its interactions with other medications so it might not be any better the alcohol to have around the house.

    Sleep work shift disorder!

I often do rotating shifts but for a while I have been doing nighshift. I always revert back to normal pattern for my days off. For instance I finished work this morning but shall avoid having a kip until it is dark tonight. Small amount of alcohol and I sometimes sleep for up to 12 hours.

Some time ago there was a thread on how to download clips from youtube. Can anybody point me to that I cannot find it searching for it.
  11. I predict that we will pay more and more for food in the future and that the food we by will be much less nutricious
  12. Yes physical exercise. Have heard this mentioned a few times on ABC news radio and I think also a new scientist podcast. The first time I heard it it made sense from the perspective that for instance. I cycle for exercise most days. The first time I rode my road bike, it was quiet twicthy and unstable compared to previous bikes I had riden. But these days it feels very smooth and today I had to lock up the back wheel and slide for a few metres to avoid hitting a car which stopped suddendly. At no time during this did I feel in danger of falling. So I figure the part of my brain which is responsible for balance has grown due to all the new demands placed upon it. But that is not the proposed mechanism. It supposedly has to do with the fact that exercise increases the blood flow to the brain.
  13. No opinion on accelerated learning but just want to state. Exercise I believe is the only thing which has been proven to grow new brain cells in developed adults.

    Synchronicity

I have fallen prey to believing things where meaningfull in the past in times of great stress. Pretty sure I was just not thinking logically because after one of these times I fixed my interest rate for two years and two years of falling interest rates followed.
  15. Prices seem good. Anybody have feedback about buying a laptop from Dell

    Drink Driving advice?

I have heard that it makes a big difference to the outcome if you have a solicitor or not. So my advice would be hire a solicitor for the court case.
  17. Essentially I am saying that if every Australian owned 1 acre of land we would have a much poorer lifestyle if we tried to enforce sustainability worldwide Because it takes 17 acres of land to generate the resources that we Australians are using up. It was previously suggested that if the world land was divided equally up we would all be driving around in Rolls Royce. Well if all the land was didvided up we would each get 1/48th of square Km according to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count...ulation_density By my calculations 1 square Km = 250 acres 250/48 = 5.2 acres each so we would have to use about 1/3 of the resources we are using now to live sustainably. This doesn't even take into account that much of this land would be non arable. If only using arable land the figures would be 1/209 th square KM each of just under 2 acres. Less then 1/8 of what we are using up now. Don't t take my figures as gospel as I am quite sleep deprived at the moment.
  18. The last I heard, quite some time ago it required 17 acres of land to account for all resources used by aus comsumers. So if land was shared equally I am sure we would each get much less the 17 acres so theoretically we would have a much poorer lifestyle.
  19. by the time you have finished paying three times the value of the house. It should have appreciated around factor of six . leaving you 3 times the value of the house better off. Also don't pay three times the value of the house if you have a mortage you can pay off quickly.
  20. I think we have clearly identified how they are the same. The difference in my opinion is that I consider GWB to be a patsy. He has gone along with plans he didn't develop. Don't know that much about Hitler but I imagine he had a very large part in the plans he put into action.

    Wetpot Watering system

not sure what the proper version costs but last year I used soaker hoses in a similar fashion. dug them into the ground and connected them up to tank for a hour or so when I thought the plants needed it.
