I removed the solid balls of fertilizers, i removed the plastic bag, that is as much as i can do, i think the biggest problem was the plastic bag humidity. I guess it is trial and error at this point, i just wanted to be sure cause it will be a while until i got more scions to graft. Will post results tomorrow

I gave mine plenty of fertiliser NOOOOOOOOOOO, what should i do? Change soil? I got these sold ball granules that slowly release fert

Hello i was just wondering what is super about the Super Pedro (Trichocereus Scopulicola) Is it super because it grows fast? I am just very curious how it got the name Super, Sorry for this noob question i actually searched on Shaman i couldnt find the information. Also the website www.trichocereus.net helped me a lot. Thanks Evil Genius. Pictures of Super Pedro http://trichocereus.net/super-pedro-trichocereus-scopulicola/ Edit: i am growing the seedlings as well. I just made a graft of it on pereskiopsis. Edited by watertrade, no discussion regarding potency please.

Thanks Myeloblast! That will be very helpful. Will post my results of the grafts i did yesterday, tomorrow, to see if it caves in again

I will take your advice, my next graft on juicy stock will just be super glue and no pressure, plastic bag, sticky tape Should i sprinkle some sulphur dust on it to make sure the mold/fungus wont destroy it?
-
I am going to try it again without the plastic bag, i honestly though the graft would be super successful because the grafting stock was very fresh and well watered... how i was wrong. Did you keep yours in a humid environment? My scion is too big unfortunately.

Ahhh so let me get this straight its unique characteristics that make it better than a normal San Pedro are * It is fatter * Flowers more * Grows faster * Pups bigger? -

Looking for jourdaniana and alberto vojtechii seeds/plants
gr33ntea replied to Gollum's topic in Wanted
Jourdaniana is a hybrid right? Maybe you can cross pollinate some (obviously it will be 1000 times easier just getting jourdaniana off someone) -

If i were to apply BAP to an yellow areole, would i only get a yellow pup with no green at all?

I would put it in fine dry sand and wait until it roots. WHen it roots than give it water. I have a set up with t5 lights and a heat mat. I put the cacti that need rooting in the fine sand where it reaches temperatures of 25 degrees It looks too old to graft

I just cut it and it was nice and juicy, it wasn't fresh growth but it was juicier than i expected. I grafted a loph button on it. The loph button was soft to begin with.... so yeah i am grafting a soft loph button that wasn't rooted for months onto a woody scion... if this works i am going to be super surprised lol

Below is an image of a failed graft, it has been like this for a year it hasnt pupped yet, i was wondering what the chances are that i can cut a bit off of the top and try grafting something on it successfully. I know there is no fresh scion growth but would it be possible?
-
Awesome i already have like so many failed grafts that are pupping, i will continue to water and fertilize. But just in case i have decided to experiment by grafting on it, i am sure it will be unsuccessfully but oh well, willl post results
