Hi all, I am looking to purchase a fairly large amount of tricho seeds, at least 1000+ preferably in Australia. Also on the lookout for loph/ario/astro seeds as well. Willing to pay $$$ unfortunately don't have much to trade atm. Cheers

Weeds will harbour insects etc why I get rid of em

Just consistent picking of weeds before they flower is best bet, if ou were going to go chemical route I would pick all he weeds then drop a pre emergant herbecide down on top of the pots.

Effective and safe/natural/organic pesticides?
franky replied to DELETED ACCOUNT's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
it's been used in india for yonks!! I still use it on my plants, I just thought it was something worth mentioning as generally there is a reason why a chemical would not be registered here in Aus, obv it might be cost related. I also have not had a problem using Natrasoap, I really like the coverage you get from soapy insecticides. -

The pachycereus we have at work, only in pots, have a pine bark based mix. Some are huge, although i don't know too much about there natural habitat they seem to grow fine on a heavily organic based mix (in a pot)

Yep ammending local soil is the best option. For clay soils, depending on whether there slating or slaking will determine the course of action. Whether that's just adding organic matter improving the structure of the soil or adding calcium sulphate to help displace sodium ions within the clay. Lucky I have very sandy soils lol
