PM me if you are still in need. Have some old plants that could do with a trim. Won't be out near them for a week yet though.

    ID 'white gills blue staining.'

Pretty much confirmed my assumptions thanks. I am pretty sure if I wasnt so lazy I would have pulled a result through the search engine. I will set it free to be back with its people.
  5. I saw this while walking around yesterday. It was in the same pad as a few cubes. The only difference is it had white gills and minimal noticable spores. Those which can be seen were from another one which i brushed it against when picking for this photo. It stained blue nearly instantly. Any chance on an ID? I also saw a single blue meanie growing with around 4 cubensis from the same pad however i did not have a camera. All in all an interesting walk though the hills.

    DMT in the NT

I recall reading here once, correct me if I am wrong. When taking bark from 1 tree alone you would have to take so much that the tree would suffer perminant damage and potentially die. It may also become infected by bacteria as has happened down south. This may in turn take out many around it. Somone suggested only taking bark from recently fallen branches and recently fallen trees Right after a storm.

Great series of replies. Quite entertaining and somewhat inspirational. Pretty much sums up the real and decent mentality of this forum which I have recieved.

    Local Nursery TBM Find

I managed to deal with a bit of rot this month just by moving them out of the sun a bit and away from the water. all my cacti only show signs of rot when they get a full week of rain. some of them remain fine though even through that.

    FNNSW/SEQ FINDS !!!!

wow I would have thought that it was still a tad too cold up here. All other conditions have been prime though.
  13. I have had excellent strike rate with the red var. 80%+ Cut sections of about 4 -6 leaves below the growing tip. Using sterilised sharp blade cut on a diagonal from above one node leaving the other side of the node intact with large surface area for hormone. Place immediately in warm water. Dip in rooting hormone. I use clonex purple. Place in cutting and seedling mix and water in carefully. This works with all sorts of plants. Psychotria Carth, Caapi, khat to name three
  14. spot on Teo. further one could have excess cells and be able to charge them to make up for the loss of energy through the process. (electrolysis and heat losses etc) there is no reason why there cant be an altinator and yes parking your car in the sun would then also be a good thing. Would you also be better off parking your car under street lights. The reason that it does not happen is that there is not nearly enough consumables sold in this process. It is bad for the economy and many petrol station attendants would lose jobs. The only way that this will become a reality is that if a large number of like minded people get together and make it happen.
