    Sub burbing

Interesting topic, as my bush patch shrooms are alot more appetising than ones from local nature reserves- though i think the bush patch ones retain moisture alot more helping with taste.Personally, I think as long as your not picking off roundabouts/medium to high traffic roads you wouldn't need to worry that much.(more worried bout using mobile as alarm clock!!).

    First subs of 2012 season

working on a garden today, that i was working on last friday and the fungal transformation was quite pronounced!! A garden bed of liriopes that i weeded last week was now full of massive clusters of 15-20cm tall unknown shrooms. I lawn mowed over a couple of morel type mushrooms, which i've never seen before.Felt pretty bad mowing over them but had no choice! Heaps of other shrooms in the garden beds ,that were empty this time last week. This thread definately needs a bump^^. Happy hunting !!!

    First subs of 2012 season

Love the commitment mooms!! When you do eventually find i'm sure it will be all that more rewarding. The way the weather is in melbs at the moment though , it's looking like it's going a couple of weeks before we get the first decent sized flushes. Good luck with it ,i'm sure you'll find plenty!!

    First subs of 2012 season

Back again, Found a prime area with heaps of button grass at altitude on the peninsula. Plenty of inactives on display which augurs well for a future scope. Temps seem to be feeling right though!First finds last year on April 15th and that seems to be about the right time for us- mere mortal- hunters.
