Im not growing it yet but would like to to make a thread for it as a few collectors are growing Ogunbodede´s. When visited Lima found in the flowers market something very similar visually (what I first labeled Lima/Matucana) . Not witche's market, which now a days only has Matucana Peruvianus. Pachanoi was the common in Lima´s witches market but was strongly predated and distributed to other corners Peru, sold in markets. Now a days few can be seen occasionally in a home or street. That goes for most parts of Peru I have been (not many). I visited Huancabamba in 2013, a little town deep in the Sierra Norte, quite remote and isolated by hundreds of curves. I didn't spotted a single specimen in natural habitat. But in the market/magic shops and homes it could be widely seen, most likely cultivated . What they sold there was not the wild type but spineless. Further south in the province I asked local campesinos for the plant and they said : "this is a home/garden plant", interesting. Not that there are no populations in nature at all but they are hidden in the wilderness and/or becoming scarce. Not as common as it would seem. Back to topic, please show pics of your specimen if, it would be great to know this plant better. If someone can add information to my inconclusive words do it. By the way, Ogun/Ogunn/Ogum is an Orishá in African religion (Candoblé/Santeria/Yorubá) "He is a fierce warrior and protective father. Lord of the roads, forests and wilderness". got this from seedsaustralia not long ago. From the same batch 3 phenotypes, for instance here: the one in the back to the left is totally pachanoi, in front bridge and the individual in the back-right something hybrid.Sorry for the title, could not edit it, the name is "Psycho0" guess I used the short name...

Its been a while but here is an update. Short spined pheno is the one that intrgues me the most, would like to see the father, the "pachanoi" used. I suspect it could be a so called "pc" or a spineless bridgesii, not nessesarely different things What I see in the short spined pheno is a spineless bridge and not a typical bridge x pach cross.

A while a go I was looking very hard for scops with no success. Ben from SS was able to send me as a gift a few "old seed". Thanks! One plant got hit by spiders,infection,rot quite severely but the plant healed with help form the Sun.
