Spider mites on cactus - metho spray?

Be careful... metho has different additives to make it unpleasant/toxic to consume, they are not usually on the label and I guess it can depend on the brand too. I hit my mine a few years ago with some after a spider mite infestation because I read it was effective. It killed the mites, but it seems the additive in my bottle was phytotoxic - it burnt a lot of them badly. They recovered eventually, but many are still scarred. It was stupid, I should have tested a small area on one or two first. If you try it I suggest starting with a small area and making sure they are out of sunlight before/after.
  2. Found this very well written article about the issues involved in the US (written for Harper's magazine in '97) http://michaelpollan.com/articles-archive/opium-made-easy/

    Events for the eclipse

I went to Lyndhurst SA in 2002, I think most of the acts at the festival we wanted to see got canned but it didn't really matter. I can't remember how much the tix were, $100 or so. Epic road trip up there. First time I ever saw petrol at $1/ltr was at our last fuel stop, blew me away haha how things have changed, dust storms in the middle of the desert when we arrived, scorpions and red sand, totality sometime in the afternoon 2 or 3 days in, well worth it to see. Had a brilliant time hanging out in the desert, once the winds calmed down. Damn near seized an engine on the way home. Was a blast though. I don't know if I'm brave or foolish enough to do a road trip up to Cairns. Tix $350 now for a seven day festival, think I'm getting old: I like the idea of chilling on a beach somewhere to watch it, but I think if I go up I'll skip the festivities and just go camping The line up does look nice though. What do poor students and backpackers do nowadays with festivals so pricey? Sneak in I guess.

    Looking for Calea Zacatechichi

How lacking in bitterness is yours? Mine is reasonably bitter, I just chewed a leaf and it's really quite unpleasant but not completely unbearable have to spit it out or I'll gag bitter. The tea is about the same, needs to be drunk quickly and washed down with something pleasanter. As for "works", it has a mild effect, as far as I know it is supposed to be pretty gentle. If I have a pot of the tea before bed I've definitely noticed remembering more dreams, but to be honest I think that's because I'll have to get up a couple of times during the night ;) Has anyone had any luck taking cuttings? I have made a few lazy attempts but no luck.
