A couple more :D The things people do with pallets always astounds me. Also despite the trend this isn't just things to put plants in. Anything that goes in or around your garden! I'd also love to see any attempts you guys make at any of these if you do.

So long as it's in that environment, I'm sure he's down.

Don't suppose you're looking to adopt a 20-something "kid at heart" adult dude? Those pictures are absolutely stunning.

I was hoping this thread was about the other KFC I recently welcomed into my life. Korean fried chicken. It's so spicy and crispy. MY one true love!

Great question. If you see them, you'd better ask.

I don't think ads would really work here. Partnership ads are the only real option if you do go that route but I'm not sure you'd want most of the ads that could be placed here. Ads on such a small forum would almost never be clicked and the revenue would be a few dollars, if any. Further more, as WB said, ad agencies aren't just selling ads, they almost all collect a tonne of data. If you do end up going ads, my vote would go for partnered banner ads that go in the footer and maybe a random one in topics. Paid membership is a better option imo. Maybe add a private forum or two for the paid members, a bit of incentive? (other than supporting the site, obviously). I'm also going to drop you a PM about the costs... $5k/year seems quite a lot to run this forum. I have some more ideas I'll float too.

You mean the one posted above? Started at ~$50, seems people are willing to pay the $305+ -

The truecrypt website has been taken moved to http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/ and there is now a rather ominous warning. "WARNING: Using TrueCrypt is not secure as it may contain unfixed security issues" It's not really known what's happened yet, it's very sudden and without explanation. Here's what we do know: The binary currently on the website (7.2) is decrypt only. It's signed with the keys previously used to sign TC binaries It's really strange. What we don't know is why... Some theories include: Hacked. Their website & keys somehow got compromised. This is pretty big if it is. Canary. This is their way of saying "We're in trouble. Stop using our stuff". Dead Man's Switch. Similar to the above but could also happen in-case of death/arrest. Internal issues with the team. Power struggle, rouge, psychological issues. Huge implementation issue/vulnerability/bug. Only option was to pull the plug so they don't have to disclose it to the public/LEO and put everyone at risk (they were recently privately audited so this is plausible) I'll try keep you guys up to date if anything else comes to light.

There isn't a strong enough emoticon/smiley on this forum to express my sadness. -
Truecrypt is/was the most commonly used drive/container encryption program out there. Make storage devices (USBs, external hard drives, etc) or 'containers' (virtual drives) completely unreadable to anyone that doesn't have the password/key. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrueCrypt

Most definitely this. Computers chew up a lot of power when running these kind of tasks and with the cost of power in Australia, that can add really add up when you receive your next bill. The software itself is completely safe and I believe it's intentions are pure. It's run by the Stanford university and has been running since 2000. Here's the wikipedia page which explains what it does in some more detail: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folding@home

Recipes, growing tips, photos! I want it all! I've been growing red habs, choc habs and some misc. jalapeños for awhile but it's fairly bland. The red hab. I put in the ground when I moved house a few months ago went absolutely crazy in a few months. Nearly quadrupled in size! It's only just producing ripe fruit now though... seems a bit late? I come asking for tips though... how do you increase the strength of your chillies? I'm looking to make some hot sauces at some point down the track and I'd love to be using my own, home grown, stupidly hot, satanic level pods. I'll probably order some online before then and try and get a rad recipe going. Excuse the terrible photo and the messy garden but here's my current red hab. bush: (Related: Interested in buying some seeds and/or ridiculously hot fruits. PM me)
