Ok, I have been MIA, but hell I needed it. This year has been very challenging for me personally to date due to unforeseen circumstance and sadly is likely to be very challenging for me yet. So I am putting it out there I would love to see this camping trip happen but I have limited energy and time for projects at the moment. I love some help from other members of the community on this one if they would like to see it happen. So thanks for those that have PM me already offering to get involved. I am starting a small email list (maybe a slack.com account) to get this thing happening to spread the workload and allow people to interact and contribute. If you wont to help on the project please PM me your name and email address and I will work out the best way to get things going from here. I called the Caravan park again today and are trying to confirm the date proposed (Nov 20 - Monday 3rd of Dec). It fair to say that most of the EGA crew worked there bottoms of last year (some like myself 2 years straight to get the event together) so I keen to get new people involved to help pull this one together and give the crew a respectful rest. I feel the best approach is to start off the first year small and see how it all goes from there, maybe my original idea was a little bold and we need to build up to that ;-) Respectfully RS ;-)

I love subdenudata, a real favorite of mine. red flowers would sure be awesome, nice choice @Inyan. My sub hasnt accepted any pollen yet unfortunately but ill keep trying, i think ill have 3 Subs in flower this Spring so ill try some Sub x Sub and as many tricho fathers as i can. I have seen pictures of a Scop x Sub, its beautiful!

I hit it with a nice red flower I had blooming in the garden. One of the rarest parents I have seen used for hybrids T. terscheckii making hybrid seedlings of that parent indeed very rare and and very much sought after in my mind. Some crosses we make for ourselves though and some we make for others. For me, having a nice red colored flower on a spineless specimen is indeed a nice goal. Now, would I still like some terscheckii or scopulicola pollen to put to my spineless specimen? You bet your bottom I would. Large, fat specimens that had this dressing but also stood 20 feet tall and had bright red or purple flowers. That to me would be an ideal worth shooting for. Each parent I could choose of course would have potentially different consequences down the road. But I do know this little fellow blooms regularly for me in my zone. So, a plus might be a hybrid that blooms for my zone each and every year as well. Another goal.... Why not hybridize for more floriferous specimens that perform well in multiple zones and areas? So, when I make a cross, it is limited by the genetics I have available, but it is always with an end goal in mind. I don't make any crosses without having some picture of the end goal that I would like to achieve. Now, whether I actually achieve that goal or not is an entirely different matter. Crossing specimens without a goal may give you some interesting specimens, but in the end where are you really going with that line you are creating? What is it that drives you?

I've read a number of things about this tonight. Just ordered ~100 from NSW, hoping they get into WA, but converting the LSA to LSH would be nice, yet it appears hit and miss and unstable. Easily converted back to LSA, so no real loss, it would however be good to experience a cleaner deal. Hell, I'd be happy with less tachycardia and cramps in my legs. Which I am sure my heart and body would be, also.

I've just returned from a few days and nights dancing amongst the milky way, and I think I'll give hbwr another go tonight. Might try 3 smashed seeds sublingual with extra enhancement and I'll report back tomorrow.

I used to have one of these threads but can't find it. I started ramping up my cactusing again so I'm going to be throwing pictures in here and updating with stuff I'm doing. You could slip them. The opposite of your idea is done in bonsai sometimes. Lift the rootball ans pad a little layer of soil in the bottom and put the plant back in there. Then try to poke down soil in the gaps along the side as good as you can. It's better for the plant. Depending on who your patient is.

So i watched beyond the black rainbow, thanks for the suggestion Northerner, i enjoyed it and thought it was pretty good in visuals and concept, what i got from it is, it is basically a movie about trans humanism through psychedelic drugs and some black goo formula/material, the scene when barry goes through the transformation in the goo with what appears to be l s d was pretty cool : ) Another couple of movies that may be worth a watch, moonwalkers and inherent vice : )

How great would it be if to prove how accurate these doggos are at their job, the police put them outside some prestigious bank or office building and prevented all that got sniffed at from entering

Combining HBWR extract with peppermint essential oil seemed to produce an interesting synergy

A great old Aussie comedy is "Hercules Returns". Slow to start, but one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I laughed so much that I gave myself a headache. Four and a half out of five.

Bad Boy Bubby was a movie I watched recently and it still sticks freshly in my mind. Things were seen that cannot be unseen but I still walked away really impressed by it and glad to have watched it.
